it's weird how much difference there is from gross to fit without weight even being a factor. you can be fat and gross, or fat but not gross, or middle weight and gross, or middle weight hot dad bod, or ideal weight and rubbery disgusting, or super skinny but hot fit, or super skinny and disgusting. cardio is the key, if you have decent stamina theres someone out there that wants to fuck you.

I just tried an Epic protein bar, chicken sriracha. 13g protein, 3g carbs, 0 sugar. Tastes exactly like a spicy slim jim.

You sold me. I'll definitely have to try one of those soon. I discovered Aloha bars a couple years ago and love them. 14 grams of plant based protein, low sugar (5 grams) and none of that fake sugar alcohol stevia stuff that tastes like shit. It's also loaded with fiber (half of your daily recommended intake).

BMI is such an antiquated measurement. I can’t believe it’s still used at physicals.

Okay, fatty.

Obese. When I played varsity basketball I was in the best shape of my life and was 190 lbs, that chart would put me at overweight which is crazy. I’m down 5 lbs since golf season started. I’d like to get to 225 as I think I’d feel great at that weight. I like to eat and drink so it’s a challenge but I can eat better/less and cut back on the drinking some. I turn 45 next month so I realize now is the time to start getting the weight down.

I was 6-4 195 at the end of basketball season my senior year of HS. There's zero chance of seeing that again until I'm dying of cancer someday.

the chart has me overweight to obese my whole life

I guess I was overweight when I was in high school running 2 miles to baseball practice, going through a full practice then running 2 miles back to school and lifting weights during off seasons.

Pays NO mind? Pays some mind, doesn't it?

Seems to me out of the 100,000 years of existence, more than likely 99.9% of people were skinny. "Skinny" is probably healthy. Maybe the numbers in the chart seem obsolete, but aren't.

I think you have to subsist on pure soy to not at least hit the overweight category.

I think maybe hunting mastodons and eating berries the wife scrounged up might put you where you need to be on the chart.

Yeah but I could bench way more than the mastodon hunter, bro.

It’s more a shape thing than a size thing. 250lbs look different on an athlete vs a local sports media personality.

IIRC there was some graphic showing Trump and Mike Trout had the same height, weight measurements

5’10” and 175 is not overweight if you have any significant muscle mass whatsoever.

At that height and weight you could very reasonably be 15-20% body fat and be extremely fit. And nowhere near “overweight” in terms of fat to muscle ratio.

Why would anyone make up a 9.5 minute mile average if they were trying to brag about running a marathon?

Anything under 4 and a half hours means you actually ran the marathon which in itself is an accomplishment. But please tell me you didn’t get one of those damn stickers.

I’m very well acquainted with obese no doubt. The last 3 years my weight has gone from 165 to 220 to 180 to 240 to now around 195.
