Your first statement is the real issue here. What is always overlooked in these situations is the mental health history of the shooter. What's **NEVER** discussed is the shooter's history with medications. What if...God Forbid....there was an admission that many Americans are over-prescribed and mis-prescribed anti-depressants and other psychological medicine.

I'm no 2nd Amendment freak....I'm not even a gun owner, but more gun regulations and laws is a an ineffective band-aid on a symptom as opposed to a real solution.

Last I checked Heroin is completely illegal and supply is certainly not an issue.
