Isn't that the entire premise of Jungle Fever? What Angie and Flipper were doing was definitely indulging in sexual fetishism. Spike juxtaposes that against the potential relationship between Paulie and Orin that is based on respect and common interests.

I was so underwhelmed by the movie that I don't remember the ending, but that I wanted to leave early. It didn't help that my date was someone who never could stop talking.

I liked Jungle Fever. Crooklyn is the one I couldn't sit through. But after Do The Right Thing anything was probably going to be disappointing. When a man creates a masterwork he shouldn't be expected to top it. I'm still working on a follow up to "Julia Child".

how come do the right thing is never on tv. mob movies like goodfellas are on like every week. i think i haven't seen do the right thing since it was released in theaters.
