Call it meditation if you want, but there is usefulness to it. The act of humbling yourself, getting out of yourself, often can give you a new perspective. Some of you heathens should give it a shot.

Agree with Nardi, though, that prayer is meditation, as long as you understand prayer not to be just asking for stuff. The Prayer of St. Francis works well for me; I keep it in my wallet. I need to say it much more, though.

I'm with Nardi. I was in a spiritual wasteland for most of my adult life. It comforts me to 'believe' that Jesus Christ would wrap His arms around me when I finally meet Him. I'm trying.
