Let's not forget that Caddyshack was an absolute horseshit film. Absolute garbage as a story. The ball was dropped--repeatedly. Even the book about Caddyshack was pointless. Probably the funniest movie of the 80s, but I never sit through the entire thing without fast-forwarding through the 60-80 minute mark.
All comedy movies from the 80s have aged poorly. Three men and a baby is the only exception.

It's still interesting to me that people think "Fast Times At Ridgemont High" is funny. The funniest scene is Sean Penn having a pizza delivered to his classroom.

I dunno....those scenes still make me laugh pretty hard, and the non-comic portions of the film are still pretty raw. Revenge of the Nerds would never fly today, as several have discussed before. Maybe Fast Times has just become iconic and therefore kind of meh to some.

Some of those John Cusack comedies, especially The Sure Thing and Better Off Dead, are still good, but even the silly ones are ok in small doses.

WZ will agree with me that one of the best movies of the 80s was Prince of Darkness. Maybe it's bad, but I love it.

Well hell yeah. "They Live" can go there, too. "Big Trouble in Little China" to round out the trifecta of trash fun Carpenter films that have enough class to still have credibility.

Did anyone else do a double-take at Brick's bomb drop of "Three Men and a Baby"?

Hilarious, brought us Full House, and made it ok for men to care about their kids.

By the way, I just made this up.

You damn right you did, because we all know the definitive 80's movie about making it OK for men take care of kids is "Look Who's Talking".

Maybe the only good 80s comedies had babies in them.

Were you in an '80's comedy?

Used Cars is an 80s comedy that still holds up.

I still find many of the iconic 80s teen films entertaining (and ideologically interesting): Back to School, Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller, Better off Dead, Fast Times, Risky Business, Say Anything.
