Mistreating him? How?

We're trading you. Oh wait maybe not. I dunno!

I'm just saying the guy that was the face of your franchise for so long deserves to be told if he's really being traded or if he's not. He's earned a little honesty. I don't blame him for being pissed. Especially if this is some kind of negotiation tactic.

That’s fair if the report is true. Rodgers has shown some diva tendencies before this though. Could just be bullshit leaked by Rodgers camp

He def has a right to be pissed - he is the franchise. They should cater to 99% of his whims, seriously, especially if he's proven to be reasonable over time. That drops to 40% if he's a douchebag/primadonna.

So it’s dropped to 40%. We’re mostly on the same page.

whats tough for the packers is they would be betting they have a tom brady, and rodgers will be winning superbowls 3-5 years from now. its highly unlikely that he will, hes shown a lot of regression last few years.

i didnt say he wasnt in his prime. hes showing signs of age. probably still great for a year or two more, but unlikely he lasts as long as brady. and once you lose that edge, someone will take his place.

Would've preferred the ND linebacker. We haven't had a good ILB since Desmond Bishop.

It does seem like GB is antagonizing Rodgers and i dont really get it. He asked for a WR last year and they literally drafted his replacement instead. News came out yesterday hes still not happy and their response is to draft a cornerback

Rodgers has all this pent up anger. He needs to just admit he's a homosexual and live his life as a gay man instead of directing all his anger at the poor Packers brain trust.

Rodgers not being willing to restructure his deal is going to cost him in the long run.

Truth.
I selfishly hope he gets traded come June. I don't understand what the Packers are trying to organizationally, but I doubt they're stupid enough to trade Rodgers at this stage. Rodgers can piss and moan all he wants....as long he remains in Green Bay, you can pretty much pencil the Packers in for winning the division in 2021 and 2022 regardless of the supporting cast. Will they win the Super Bowl again.....struggling to see it if they're in cap hell.

So if Rodgers decides to retire, he will owe the Packers $11.5 million this year and $11.5 next year, to pay back the signing bonus. He is under contract for 3 more years with the Packers, I am trying to figure out where his leverage is.

Only leverage really is a holdout. If he holds out into the regular season it will become a problem for Green Bay.

He has no leverage. He thinks he does but he really doesn't. If he holds out for the 8 or however many games you can hold out and still return and not void the year he will look like the most selfish prick in the history of the game and not a single teammate will respect him and his legacy will be destroyed. They will just start Love and tell him to go fuck himself and deal with him whenever he shows up. That will never happen as no one would napalm their own legacy like that.

I don't understand what he is so pissed about. He is getting paid plenty and they have been willing to negotiate with him on a longer deal for even more money. So fucking what if they drafted love. The 2 worst seasons in the last decade were when he was out for the majority of the year with an injury. The single most important thing they need is a competent alternative for when that happens again. Get over yourself if you are offended that they drafted him. The fucking titans took a guy in the 1st who turned out to be such a shithead that they shipped him out during his rookie season and now he is out of the game. You are not the GM and you don't get to make picks so shut up and deal with it. If I were a GM I would also have to consider the fact that you are and ASSHOLE to rookies until you deem them worthy of getting the ball. Justing Jefferson or whomever is probably not that player with 12 as the QB as he would spend 2 years judging his worthiness of getting the ball thrown his way.

I sincerely hope that the Packers tell Rodgers "You have no leverage. STFU and show up when you want".

I could understand it, if there offense sucked, but it was one of the best in football last year. He is a big diva though, so that probably out weighs everything else.

I would be pissed if I were his teammate.

He makes more money than all of them.
He thinks he gets input on the roster when none of them do.
He loses his shit when they draft his replacement or just another guy at his position when they all do every year.

He just has to be better at Favre than everything including being a diva.

1st round of the draft is overrated. They drafted elite talent at the 0line, rb and wr position in the later rounds. Would he like to give Jones, Adams and Bahktiari back for a crack at some late 1st round picks?

You take him off that roster and put a league average QB on there and you get 8-8.

That's every star QB except the difference is Rodgers doesn't get input and most great QBs do. Brady got whatever he wanted from TB. Mahomes got CEH even though that was a dumb pick. Burrow isn't even a star yet and he got his boy Chase even though Sewell was the clear smart choice there.
