I'm glad some of the 'regulars' felt like I did. Throw the guy under the bus after you've gone your seperate ways, just like in business.

It was just some ey ball-busting, like they always do when Harry is gone, they were just having fun with MJC, and if they weren't, then I would say Mac is the most frustrated with the things Harry says or does, like the Cubs winning the world series in May. Here should be the thought on the Cubs, divison over, if worried the Cubs will make the playoffs, and no need to talk much untill OCtober.

I think everything will be okay on Tuesday, and they will be bringing down the Cubs, White Sox, and Bears.

It was uncomfortable to listen to the way the guys talked about Harry in his absence. I am not a Harry fan or defender, but I thought even Carmen was feeling a little uneasy with the way they talked up how the week of shows had gone without the tiny one.

Even more problematic was Mac's constant reference to it being "Mac, Jurko and Carm" show. Sorry, Mac, it is "Mac, Jurko and Harry" with Carmen filling in for Happy Harry. No other show changes their title when one member is out. The initial digs at Harry could be passed off for general fun making, but as it continued day after day I thought it got a little too personal in tone. Evidently, by reading the other postings on this board I'm not the only one who thought both Mac and Jurko felt as if they were in broadcast heaven with no Harry to kick around.

I did enjoy the broadcasts with Carm sitting in. I felt that the conversations were more engaging and, I admit, it was nice to not hear Harry's over-the-top hometown team love and local player butt kissing. That said (or in this case written), I still don't think the handling of his absence was comical. Rather, I felt it did become mean spirited.

Oberst Fan, Mac Man- You crossed the line. How can you refer to someone's Autistic son as a tard? If Karma is a bitch, you sir are in for a lot of trouble.

I used to be a big fan of MJH, but as time has gone on, I'm seeing three divergent themes: 1, Mac's enormous ego causes him to completely lose sight of the fact he's part of a successful TEAM, 2, Harry would cheer for ANYTHING if it has any connection to Chicago, and 3, Jurko's greatest talents appear to be web surfing, farting, and paying no attention to the program. While all this makes me very sad, the truth is that this dysfunctional family is STILL better than Boers and Bernstein, the worst pair on the radio today.

Harry reminds me of Rex Grossman. Yeah he occasionally contributes but in the grand scheme of things he pretty much sucks. I once thought he was an important part of the show but have found myself increasingly annoyed with his antics. Maybe his co-hosts feel the same, who knows. They've curbed some of his behavior but the damage is done and he has repeated the same crap for about 7 years.

Why would he .Most people on here would eb a little skeptical of his comments .I am thinking it was a bit that got out of hand .Maybe Harrys' people already contacted the station about legal procedures?Maybe the Higher ups in Bristol heard it and smacked him down after Fridays show ?Maybe he is showing his disdain for his fanbase?Who knows we will see tomorrow?

Mac and ESPN1000 have always been generally supportive of this board. Several employees other than Mac post here, and others have made it no secret that they read this place with some regularity. Those who are regulars here and at the afternoon saloon have no reason to be skeptical of what Mac posts here, or what he says on air about the boards.

I think everybody is reading in to this thread way too much. So maybe there was some overkill and Harry's feelings are potentially hurt. <Wanny> He'll be fine </Wanny>, he's an adult. He'll be there tommorow ready to jump because the Cubs have lost 3 straight.

Frank my last comment was in a sarcastic tone .Lord people read my entire post .The Guy who made the low life comment aqbout Macs' son should have his ass kicked long and hard .The worst thing we can do is continue to talk about his post,it gives the cretian power that he should not have .
McNown go back and read one of my earlier posts I have a cousin and a nephew who are developmentally challenged.
Big Fan should not only ban the jackass but post his persoanl info so we can either egg or TP his house.

P.S. Frank please wipe your nose off you got a brown spot on it from having your nose soo far up Macs' ass <see sarcasm and Humor get it and ignore the morons posts>

Mac and Jurko could work every day of their lives and not end up with the amount of "fuck you" money harry has waiting for him. The man's family helped to build this city's skyline.

I have said for a very long time that Harry is not respected by M and J. They may talk a good game about it in public but they give us frequent glimpses of their true feelings for the man. I cannot blame them for feeling this way. Harry is a pure coattails rider. He has proven his ability time and again. The people who spoke so well of MJ and Carm in another thread are the same one's extolling Harry's virtues. Do not mistake your pity over his treatment with appreciation of his ability on the show.

I do agree that it is not the proper way to treat a partner.

I don't pity Harry, Dolphin, I was simply asking if others heard the way the two others shit on him all week -- and plenty of good listeners, whose opinions I respect, did.

And I think Jurko is the coattails rider of the three. Let's see him try stand-up sometime. Stand up and leave would be more like it.

I'd like to see Harry try it some time.

While Jurko may not have a job in the industry if he did not play football for 10 years, the fact is that he did. That gives him credibility as a host on the topic that is mother's milk to sports radio in this city.

I have to agree with the majority of those who have posted so far. While I usually like the ball busting ( :? ) and the occasional jokes at Harry's expense, last week seemed a little over the top. Even my radio hero Mr. Jurkovic left me a bit dissapointed. As much as I like Carm and the job he does filling in on MJH, I am looking forward to the return of the Tiny One.

there is funny and then there is dickish.

Everybody is playing nice. Probably a heated pre-show meeting.

I am thinking that the preshow meeting had representation not only from HR but station management and maybe a phone call from Bristol. No comment or anything
To me before today I was thinking it was a work but now .I think Harry got pissed and went to management

I think the preshow meeting involved a stupid idea for a game from Harry and gas emitting from Jurko.

jeez-

lighten up people. Id say part of the firing on Harry is because they knew that he was listening and they were trying to get him to call in (classic f-king with the guy). They probably did beat the dead horse a bit too much, but this was the calm week before the NFL preseason week 3. They probably should have talked more College Football, but thats just my opinion.

Remember, Harry was forced upon Mac and Jurko. Its obvous that Jurko "plays the fool" as an act (even someone from Eastern can't be that dim).

The show is number one because of one guy, Danny Mac.

If that makes me a Danny ass kisser, fine. But without Dan, the show goes no where except into the toilet. Harry sucks, and if he cant take the abuse, please leave Harry..,...

Theres about 40 percent of the posters in the internet land that would listen to ya.

Mac just play the Sosa "I apologie" and move on.

Still, the shows were better with Carm.
