LOL not a fan but I'm assuming he's gone too far right for Hollywood.

I haven't forgiven Van Morrison from butchering Comfortably Numb at the Berlin Wall

Comfortably Numb is probably my favorite song of all time, but I actually didn't mind him on vocals. They even put that version on the Sopranos and Tony loved it. LOL

Didn't work out for Christopher, though.

This may be the most interesting thing Van Morrison has ever done. He only has one song I like and I only like Starry Night because Lagwagon did a sweet cover of it. I don't want to hear his version of it but I will at least credit him with writing a song Lagwagon played better than him. Of old songs....Brown Eyed Girl and that other dude's American Pie can fight each other in a death match where both participants must die and never be heard from again.

About a decade ago went to see Van open up the summer concert series at the Cynthia Woods Pavilion.

Show up 30 minutes before the show ready to settle in for a great evening. Walk up to get a beer and sign says “All beer sales cancelled at request of performer”.

The Van proceeded so sing most of his songs with his back turned to the audience. Barely recognized there was an audience there.

Guy is a fucking prick.

Band sounded spectacular though, and even then he barely recognized them.

I dare you to turn it off after listening for 30 seconds. You won't, it's genius!

After this thread and this post I had to read up on old Van. Turns out he has bad stage fright. As for the beer he no longer drinks but claims the people moving about to buy drinks and piss bugs him.
