We had Fox's (Plainfield) last week, and it was great. Better than the first couple times. It may be our new go-to spot.

Oh, ok. Gotcha. I, of course, am cool with that, just as long as Bob don't point that at me.

Years back we had a pizza place in town that made a unique thin crust. Its tough to put in words, but it was dry, but not crispy. His pizzas were zero greasy. He retired , then I found another place that was a clone of his pizza. He went under. But looking at pictures at Fox's in Plainfield thin crust it looks similar to the guys pizza I've mentioned. When I visit family in Plainfield they get carry-out pizza from Vita something in town. It's really greasy and bad, but everyone brags on it.

Good! The thin veil of deep dish pizza being anything other than tourist food is being challenged by some of our most celebrated athletes. It's about time.

In... Only to cancel at the last minute because, damn, that's a long drive and I might have to interact with people.

Supposed to go to Chicago Pizza Oven and Grinder in a few weeks for my stepson’s birthday/graduation. Anyone been before? Claim to fame is their pizza pot pie which looks just meh to me.

It was better in the 70s. Everyone was just like, "Hey, man."

I have to talk to people to eat their pizza?

Perry’s Deli stressed me out enough but I loved their sandwiches too much.

Let's just say that you wouldn't walk into Vito and Nick's unless you knew how to use your mouth.

It's not my favorite place in Chicago, but lately I've been craving pizza from Marie's on W. Lawrence. Marie's is one of those time warp places with the garish faux red leather and a lot of decorative mirrors. Greasy but great thin crust pizza.

Got it. Will avoid.

Perry’s (to cross-contaminate threads) is where I learned the difference between pop/soda and bag/sack on what Chicago people are supposed to say.

But I forgot which one is right in both cases.

Is that the asshole that kicks you out if your cell phone rings? With all the weird scuba shit?

What happened to them? Are they are part of the pizza place that's there now?

Moment of silence for the great Perry's

I won many free stale pastries with my knowledge of stupid obscure facts.

They really were stale.
