i recommend naps. they are really good. if you can get them in during the day do it. i have had trouble sleeping since forever. never get enough sleep in the nitetime but the naps make up for some of it.

Sleep, how much do you get a night and is it enough to keep you going? I have a sleep apnea machine and since I got it, if I can get 6 good hours, I am good to go. Before I got it, I could sleep 10 hours and still be exhausted.

I get between 6 and 7 during the work week and probably 7.5 on the weekends. Due to BPH, my sleep isn’t very good. Getting that taken care of, hopefully, in the near future. Had an abnormally high PSA result recently so hopefully it’s not anything to be concerned about. MRI and a biopsy will tell the tale.

Working nights right now during a refueling outage, I get 3-4 hours in the recliner most mornings. If I try to lay in a bed my shoulders hurt so much I can't get more than an hour uninterrupted. It works good, since the basement recliner is in a pretty dark area, and my wife would prefer to never see me in the bedroom again. I haven't had the call of nature issue yet, fortunately.

When back to our "normal" rotating schedule, I have to stay up late enough to not wake up at 0200 or such.

I also appreciate a nap, especially on days off, right at the time I should be getting ready for work.

its interesting you bring up sleep apnea. my last doctor's visit was for a regular check up. But the doctor was very pushing starting out asking me do I snore at night. I said ya probably a little, and she goes right into 'you have sleep apnea'. I was like what? no i dont - how do you determine that by asking me if I snore at night. Then she was pushy trying to get me to buy some machine. Stunk to high heaven.

I recommend listening to the rogan episode on sleep for any of you getting less than 7 hours per night. You'll get scared straight
