I know Darkside has a thread but I couldn't find it.

Plus, he's busy cyberattacking the economy of the entire America.

What is a reasonable per foot cost to replace a 6" gutter without a leaf guard?

We currently have 5" and I've always wanted to upgrade it to 6" and I may not have another chance.

I'm in the process of doing a series of home improvements so if anybody has a "floor guy", I need one of those too.

$7/foot to do a 6" gutter install?

That's a lot cheaper than the quotes I've gotten. Some are as high as $14/foot. That's about what I've gotten quoted for a 5" gutter.

From an install standpoint, it would seem to be a fairly straightforward job. Straight runs, no turns around corners or anything weird.

Or is this a 5/6/7 joke?

I am in the process of replacing my roof, and the sticker shock of the roof itself was bad enough, but one quote I got for the gutters was $6k plus another $2k for the gutter guards. And it's not like I have 500 feet of gutters. I think I heard $10 per linear foot was on the high end, but this was ridiculous.

You make enough for the answer to be "Whatever the guy I call first says" and then get back to your day.

What do you think I'm doing right now?

I was just pretending I had multiple quotes. I just got the one.

I'll probably just give all praise and honor to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ without whom rain would not be possible and pull the trigger.

I still need a floor guy, though. Floors are probably more in the Hades realm considering the proximity.

Pro tip. The oversized downspouts are more important than the gutter size.

My flooring guy was in Johnsburg. I don't know that they travel out to you but I thought they did a great job on my hardwood and carpet.

I'm 100% getting that. I've wanted those for years.

I don't ask for much.

I have a tool I've created to clear that opening currently, some might say the entire opening, so I don't have to haul my old ass up onto a roof or ladder.

I can clear it by standing precariously on a spring-loaded chair for my safety.

I have no idea where Johnsburg is.

But if it's not South Africa and he's still working, I'm interested.

I have a combination of tile removal, hardwood floor refinishing, and leveling that needs professional care.

Kenny's Flooring Johnsburg IL.
They really did do a nice job. They gave me a quote and when they pulled up the old floor and found some boards needed to be added They didn't upcharge me. Would use them again anytime.

An acquaintance, who knows his stuff and is trustworthy, recommended them. It's good to know that another person, who also knows his stuff and is trustworthy, recommends them, too.

I would also recommend running the downspouts into the ground and run them away frim the house a ways with popups to disperse the water.

I agree. That system is already in place.

This is a very easy job and, in my mind, I almost feel like the contractor should be paying me to complete it.

It's that simple.

Too much effort for me, though.

$6k to replace all the gutters on your house seems about right. it's a lot more fuckin around that it appears to be.

The quote was $3000 for full 6” gutter replacement, the entire full gutter (no leaf guards) reflashing the chimney for about 200 feet of gutter.
