Thanks. Actually that quote was with the leaf guards.

I got too caught up making my own jokes.

It was $2300 without and $3k with.

Sounds like I’m not getting screwed if I move forward. He came recommended from people I trust.

Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Make sure they're well regarded installers.

They clog. And then you don't have gutters, just waterfalls.

I think it depends on how many leaves you have. We have a lot.

I'm going to go with the 6" and hope the larger downspouts and increased flow (insert your old guy piss joke >HERE<) will make the guards unnecessary.

our garage door opener has been struggalin for the past year and finally gave up the ghost. the door likely needs some help to at some point. i bought a super fancy garage door opener. belt drive. very quiet.

ran 600' of no climb 4' fencing and built a 10x10 alpaca barn.

added shower walls (faux marble stuff) to a tub and painted that white stuff on the tub. putting lvt flooring in and wanescoating half the wall.

its been quite a month.

Put in a fancy new toilet, per request (demand) of the wife.

Going to put in a new vanity and kitchen faucet next.

Deck sanding and re-staining is in process.

Not bad for a guy with half-crippled hands.

We’ve gone over this. It’s to bilk middle aged white women and homosexuals out of money in a get rich scheme. Or in HND’s case his wife digs making socks out of their fleece abd it’s a natural progression of her hobby. If she wants a few balls of high grade sheep wool yarn let me know. My wife has hundreds of pounds of that shit.

Put the new kitchen faucet in today. This project should've taken less than an hour to complete, but the old hardware was severely corroded under the sink and getting it off proved to be a pretty significant challenge. Fortunately, a couple rounds of penetrating oil and a new basin wrench ended up providing the right combination to get the job done--after about three hours.

Next time use a chainsaw.

I was contemplating using a reciprocating saw.

Well, to be fair, the chain saw you used reciprocated.

I'm not sure what you mean. If you're referring to the person who almost killed me with the chainsaw, I guess?

I face this shit regularly with my other house (built in '36). I hate plumbing... I end up breaking more shit and creating more of a mess to fix than what I was initially trying to solve for.

Yeah, I had a similar experience again while trying to put in a new bathroom vanity Sunday and Monday. The old pipes were almost impossible to deal with, and I thought I was going to have to saw just about everything off. Fortunately, at the last second, I got the pipe to budge, removed it, and am now in the process of setting up a new configuration. This is basically a four-hour project that is going to end up taking me about twelve or fourteen hours when all the trips to the hardware store are included. Ugh.
