Biden said it’s cool. I’m done.

I’ll keep one in the car in case I have an emergency plane trip.

There’s a ton of other things that will kill me before I’m worried about this. I got tested for a couple of those today alone.

I guess we forgot or don’t care if I can give it to someone else, but that for the suits to figure out.

I’m burning my masks and want to give all praise and honor to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, without whom air would not be possible.

Nobody reads that section.

CDC says we don’t need that section any longer.

Nice of CDC to finally catch up to scientific consensus 9 months after everyone else did. Even JB is warming up to the idea of common sense!

Reading the articles, they are only doing it as an inducement for people to get vaccinated. For instance, PA will not remove its mask mandate until at least 70% of adults have been vaccinated.

Oh, nothing is changing in the immediate future. Kroger/SuperValu/OmniFoodCorp/whatever aren't going to let go of their mask mandates and expose themselves to liability or the public-relations disaster of being seen as Trump-adjacent, not when Democrats need to buy food too and most grocery markets are duopolies.

Agreed, CH. I don't expect the mask required signs to come down overnight, but I do think towards the end of next month masking will hardly be enforced at all.

Don’t care. I’m not threatening.

Done wearing a mask in clearly unnecessary situations.

Once the CDC changes its guidance, I think most stores will remove the mask requirement.

I'm still gonna wear it.

Think about it, do you really want to explain to somebody at a store that you're vaccinated? I mean you have to wait for somebody of authority to see you to do that. That will take time. Then what? You gotta show them your vaccination card and Drivers Licence to prove it's legit? Stupid. That will take 10 to 15 minutes at least. You'd be out of the store in that time anyway. Just wear the mask and save time.

Let them run around. I’m not going to explain shit.

It seems clear my actions will not impact others. I'm fully vaccinated.

This needs to take a place in line on things that are likely to kill me.

My actions don’t impact others. Not concerned about it.

Ok. Then let's say you get approval after that 15 minute wait in the store. Then you gotta deal with the moms bitching at you for not wearing a mask as you walk around the store. Cuz they don't know. Who needs that shit? Why take the time to explain it to them? My goal is always to avoid talking to people that I don't know in public places. I want to get in and get out with no issues.

You do what you want, Doc. Life just seems easier to me just to wear the damn thing.

You walking into Jewel in the suburbs without a mask? I mean, common sense says that’s fine but it seems like it would still be a big deal.

I’ll make a deal with Jewel.

I’ll continue to wear a mask if they continue to provide disinfectant to wipe down the carts. Those always grossed me out.

I've got to think that a big-time guy like you shops almost exclusively via Instacart or a similar service.

There are several places I'll never patronize again. And it isn't like I've really had anything I would describe as a "run-in" either. But these places have treated me as if I am a dangerous virus rather than a human being. Why would I give my money to people like that?

And look, I understand it's difficult to be a small business owner during this. If I walk in unmasked- which I've never done, by the way- some other customer is likely to make a beef. But if I were the business owner, I'd throw the beefer out first. Let me handle my business. I can't allow certain customers to get in the faces of other customers. Not in my store.

And here's the real problem with vaccine segregation. As much as a lot of these people would like to impose it, it's going to be difficult for many of them if they want to stay in business. Deciding to exclude 25% of your potential customer base is a choice. Make that choice if you want.

But I'm done understanding. I've given a lot of big tips during this thing. I paid my cleaning women for three months without them having to show up. Everyone who wants a vaccine can get one. Either the vaccine works or it doesn't. If it works you don't need to concern yourself with unvaccinated me. But people are concerned. They want to punish me because my values aren't the same as theirs. It's as simple as that.

That's another thing that has annoyed me during this pandemic. I hate grabbing a cart that feels like it's just been slimed by a green thing from Ghostbusters. And I'm sure all the disinfectant we're throwing around all over the place isn't really great for human beings.

I used to always mask up when I had the flu prior to the pandemic.
