Went to Savannah 25 years ago with a buddy and loved it. We drunkenly went up that river walk I believe they had and ended up in an Irish bar with about 5 people in it and an old Irish guy with a guitar singing anything we’d suggest. It was like a drunken Irish private concert.

We also hit one of a street fair at one of the squares trying to raise money to restore an old theater there. Saw it on This Old House a few years later.

Easy city to walk around in. If you go away from the river, you see all the old houses and huge trees with Spanish moss. Almost like being in New Orleans. Lotsa funky little shops as well.

We found a rooftop bar along the river so we hung out there for most of one day. Found a brewery that was average. But yeah, the river walk area is great. That’s the place to be post Covid.

We never bridge phased down here so no use of that term. Unprecedented is finally out of the vocab here.

Had some leftover longganisa sausage from breakfast (fine Filipino cuisine), cubed and pan-fried and put it on a Lottza Mottza cheese pizza. I’m on to something.

I was at Seafood City last weekend. There is an impressive variety of Spam.

The selection of sausages rivaled anything I encountered when I lived in Boystown in the mid-90s.

Is it still called Boystown or is that not allowed? Great neighborhood. To paraphrase Jack Nicholson in As Good As It Gets, if that did it for me I’d be the luckiest man alive.

The closest bar to the apartment Mrs. Post and I lived in when we got married was a gay bar. Because I like to drink and am lazy I would often just go there.

Many nights I returned to the apartment with a way higher self image than when I left.

I had an interesting conversation about Sloppy Joe’s when buying ingredients at Treasure Island.
