I remember seeing a clip of him on the Tonight Show with Carson and just being a complete arrogant asshole to him while Johnny tried to interview him. Came off like a real Hollywood douchebag, even Johnny had had enough of him by the end.

I thought that was a bit he did on talkshows. Like his Letterman appearances are just awesome because of how he acts towards Dave. I just assumed everyone knew that was part of the joke him deadpanning and not laughing or participating in anything that the host asked.

Wasn't that Grodin's talk show act? He did the same thing with Letterman. Funny stuff.

I watched Real Life for the first time last night. I wish more Albert Brooks movies were available on Blu-Ray.

It's got DeNiro in it too? I'll have to check that out sometime this week.

It is a great movie. I am of the mind that DeNiro is no that great and he is kinda overrated. This movie is an exception. He is great along with the other actors around him.

DeNiro, Dennis Farina, and Joe Pantoliano, too-but the whole cast is outstanding.

It's been a while since I saw it--might have to check it out tonight or tomorrow.

Haven't seen it since it came out.

He had a good schtick w/ Letterman.

Not sure what he did memorable after Midnight Run.

RIP

He was classic on Letterman. One of the few guests who could dish out as much as he could take it.
