Great performance last night by Trevor Williams. 6 innings and just 1 run and he gets 2 hits to boot. Real unfortunate that Hoerner got the hamstring pull. He was playing gold glove defense and hitting well too. Rizzo missing another game is no shock, he has back issues every season. But I expect him back quickly, as he doesn't want his back problems highlighted in a contract year. Going for the sweep today with Hendricks pitching and the chance to climb into first place.

Why didnt the 1st basemen just go step on the bag?

After fucking up by not stepping on first base, there is a split second where the 1B could probably get Contreras in a rundown by running straight at the third base line about 30 feet from home. But the guy was so confused that he had no fucking chance.
