Bob has posted more about the White Sox and in the White Sox section over the last week then he has about his own team, yet he screams that we are the ones obsessed. He also does the same thing with LIBERALSM IS A DISEASE yet he posts more liberal mumbojumbo than almost anyone.

what's sad about it is it was an unforced error. You traded because you had too many middle infielders. The other bad trades were for pitching.

They traded him because Ian Stewart had new-age stats that made him more valuable. In multiple simulations, his statistics made him a better fit.

Except the simulation of reality and eye-sight.

It was dumb and wrong.

Bernstein for years called LeMahieu "just a guy" for years therefore he surely could not be good.

To be fair I thought he was one of those inflated stats Colorado guys. Weren’t his home/ road splits markedly different ?

Tyler Colvin also went to Colorado with DJL. It looked like the Cubs blew evaluation on 2 guys. The 1st year Colvin had a career year .290 327 531 858 114 in 420 ab. He was out of MLB couple years later at only 28. DJL was a 2nd rd Hendry Cubs pick with minor league success, but the Cubs traded him with only 60 MLB ab. He had his career year after leaving thin air Colorado. Had great numbers at Coors Field. But Yankee stadium numbers even better.

Theo traded DJL 13 months into the job. He's only 32 so his body of work isn't finished to compare to the Brock trade yet. DJL trade will also be debated for worst Theo Cubs move with Heyward, Q, Gleyber, when all the numbers are complete.

I see a Cubs announcer occasionally and he said Joe definitely wanted DJL 2019 but current bad money prevented it.
