Planted everything in the garden today as I do every Memorial Day weekend.

2 cherry tomatoes and a big boy hybrid planted in the raised flowerbed. Put in the flowerbed a few years ago for my wife but I took it over after she let it go to shit.

3 jalapenos, a mild banana pepper, and a cherry tomato in pots. Pots do great for me. If it wasn't for having the flower bed and garden already, I would just double my pots since they always do so well. No dealing with rabbits or weeds and very little prep.

4 large tomatoes in the garden- a mixture of different slicing tomatoes.

I used to plant green peppers but they just never produced enough to make it worth it. I used to plant cucumbers and different herbs but they are just not worth the time and energy.

What kind of slicing tomatoes did you plant?

I was going to put in my Brandywine (black, yellow, pink), Purple Cherokee, Mortgage Lifter, Ox Heart, Black Krim, and Black Pineapple plants this weekend, but it's too cold here for heirlooms. I'll have to wait a few days. My Beefsteak and Sun Gold plants are already in the ground.

Yep. There are absolutely NO conservatives who grow vegetables.

I planted a variety of hot peppers, a few big boy tomatoes, cucumbers, yellow squash, zucchini, beans, mint. Taking another stab at watermelon. They aren't looking good.

And a few giant sunflowers

5 tomato plants, mint, peppers, herbs and MANY basil all went in Mother's Day weekend. They are off to a great start.

Yesterday I surrounded them with several flags for memorial day. Madame reta*d asked me if I was preparing to host a Trump rally

You go to a level I don't. I just look at the descriptions and pick out a couple different varieties of slicing tomatoes.

Due to much change in the landscaping at our place we are again doing like 6 pots. Tomatoes and jalapeños. I have a fountain in the back that needs to be removed. I hate dealing with it and was here before we moved in. Constantly clogged with leaves. I made a half handed push for a putting green in the back as it is only a 25x40 space at best. My wife wants a garden. The green would have been artificial and likely it’s own share of headaches. Expensive, plus it doesn’t do much for resale unless you get the perfect buyer. I miss the raised garden at the old place but if we can ditch the fountain maybe we go back in that direction. I have a buddy who seems interested in it. I told him free if he helps us with an electric problem ( he’s an electrician).
