Sox weren't winning the 2nd game the minute I saw Jimmy Lambert pitching. Oh well, the Sox pen is in better shape than the Tribe pen going into tomorrow and we have Cease and Lynn to finish the series the next 2 days. If we take 3 out of 4 in Cleveland, this is a successful trip. Especially with the Tigers looming this weekend. Time to put some distance between us in the rest of the division.

Heck, just getting to Karinchak in Game 1 was great. he has been a nightmare for Sox hitters

This is what happens when you have to play decent teams and not the O's.

Lamb was on base every time last night. He's won some games with home runs as well. Some people were screaming when we was given some early playing time, but it has paid off well.

It's called regular season baseball. It's why 90 wins out of 162 usually gets you into the playoffs. The formula is simple. Sweep but don't get swept. Play for crooked numbers. That gets you to the dance. Once you're there, bring pitchers and your gloves. That will win it for you. It's why Oakland never wins. There was that one year Billy Beane drained his system for Lester and "The Shark". It didn't work out and it set the franchise back. But he WILL do it again if he thinks the timing's right.

I chalk it up to magic dust. With all the injuries, the baseball gods have decided the Sox are going to the playoffs, no matter what. Engel is going to show up with magic dust all over him, too.

Not necessarily a bad thing. This team needs an off day.
