"Cheers"

I want to let you know I'm cool and hip. It's a warm sign off.

I’ve worked for British firms the bulk of my career. Anybody who says or writes ‘cheers’ as a sign off can fuck right off.

Particularly so if they’re American.

Yeah, I take the "cheers" sign off to be a pretty strong indicator that the person using it is likely some sort of climbing asswipe who can't be trusted on any level. My instinct has been proven overwhelmingly correct thus far.

My signature could serve the same purpose, but the current corporate climate expects a formal close. I hope that ends, because its stupid and wastes bits which accumulates more c02 in the air

I go with the old standard regards. I don’t like best regards, kind regards or warm regards. Just regards. That’s all you’re getting from me.

"Respectfully" if I just said something assholish. Best Regards or just my first name the majority of the time.
