I knew Loki was adopted and not Odin's biological son...is this the first time his real last name (Laufeyson) was revealed in the MCU?

I feel like it’s been said before, but I can’t remember exactly where.

It looked cool. Good enough for a set-up episode.

I enjoyed that a great deal.

Tom Hiddleston is an actual star that can carry a show unlike those previous Marvel series that we far less inspired. Owen Wilson was good too.

I enjoyed it as well. Already more interested than I was with Wanda overall.

Solid second episode too. Glad they didn't drag out the Variant reveal. I'm sure there will be much more going on, and Hiddleston and Wilson are great together.

Smart to stake out a different day. They'll eventually get to a different scheduled release day for different shows.

Hmm… I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone that hasn’t watched yet.

I’ll wait until Saturday before I start saying names and theories in this thread.

But yeah it’s def an interesting scenario.

Enjoyed episode 3. Not much happened plot wise, but there was some nice character work between Loki and Sylvie.

Sylvie's explanation as to who/what the TVA agents are is interesting too, though not sure you can ever trust a Loki.

Yeah that’s been a theory I’ve heard floated around the last couple weeks about the TVA agents.

I mean, the time keepers aren’t good guys.

Kang and all that.

Mobius rebelling against the TVA with Loki and Sylvie should be fun.

That was one thing the episode missed.

My younger son declared episode 3 to be "the boringest show ever." Wise boy. It was painful to watch. I give it 5/5 snores on the Marvel Soporific Scale and worry about the mental stability of anyone who claims to have enjoyed it.

Must be a big Owen Wilson fan. It seemed more like a Doctor Who episode to me.

Loved it. Not a show a boy using the word boringest would enjoy. I suggest turning on WWE Smackdown.

I concur with your child. It was tremendously boring.

3 was bad.

I’m holding out hope it is just setup to a final 3 eps that were as good as 1 and 2.

i really bought into all the exposition in the first one and got excited that this multiverse concept really had potential...

...but then they locked on to lady loki (and did we ever see the results of what she pulled off at boxxcart? Afaik there hasnt even been a mention of the consequences of her plan "succeeding") and now the series is basically people walking around and then sitting down and talking about their feelings in literal apocalyptic backdrops.

Seriously, its just like the prequels with apocalypses in the background instead of cool looking star wars planets.

I'm still all in come wednesdays, and you figure theres a chance they shoot their budget wad over the next episode or 2 like they did with the last episode of wandavision, but i'm not exactly having as much fun and excitement as i had hoped after the first episode set up such awesone potential. It literally turned into the modern "woke media" cliches of "the girl who is the key to everything" / females (especially minority females) in all positions of power / and a lot of talking about your feelings (like go figure the biggest nexus event ever is basically awww theyre falling in love!)

Those arent reasons to dislike or hate on the series, but go figure they're there whenever you're still kinda entertained but not getting the awesome kickass potential you originally hoped for (see: bill and ted 3. Same cliches (i hate the word tropes) and same feelings that leave you walking out like "that was fine" (as opposed to "OMFG THAT WAS GREAT!!") and then when you rewatch it you see all the telltale signs of woke hollywood from 2016-present)

that said, this series seems to have a key role setting up the multiverse for spider man no way home >> dr strange in multiverse of madness, so even if it is a combined 4.5 episodes of talking about feelings in awesome / usually apocalyptic backgrounds you figure it should set the wheels in motion for what you figure is the next big phase of the marvel cinematic (multi/uni)verse: combining all the old fox/sony movie IPs/characters worth a shit into the MCU...

...and i'd guess after 10+ years of avengers being the literal and figurative endgame of the MCU they'd love to find a way to spin everything around so the eventual big / event MCU movies are X-Men movies. Or maybe mutant movies since it will probably be problematic to call any group of people "men" by the time we get a proper marvel studios X-Men movie.

All i ask for is a legit super-hot rogue. As a ~12yr old kid i, uhh, especially appreciated tiny waist / big tittied jim lee drawn rogue back around the nexus point of uncanny x-men #281, and i'd just love to see the hottest vintage barbie doll looking woman on the planet play her.... which means it'll of course end up being ruby rose with a MCU twist that her powers dont suck the life/powers out of people when she kisses women.

I'm not trying to victim blame here but if you choose to date the God of Mischief is it really an offense worthy of breaking up with them if they cut your hair?

Agreed…I was wondering what happened after she essentially bombed the timeline.
