According to my wife who happened to catch the tail end of him rounding the bases heading into the dugout ,
“ who is that guy, he’s fucking hot “ .

We have established that you are at least as hot as or uglier than the Schwarbino.

He’s a nice story but he will be at .225 175k’s with maybe 30 HR by the end of the year .

Cmon Bob. I doubt Hoerner has ever called an umpire the n word , compared himself to Jackie Robinson or had a child with his mistress so until he reaches those lofty heights, stfu with the comparisons between them.

I really thought that 3rd base was a position the Cubs needed to address. When you decide to try Nick Madrigal there, it seems certain you need to look for someone to man the hot corner. But Wisdom is KILLING it. Not ready just yet to declare him any kind of cornerstone, but perhaps they have 3rd base squared away?

Man it's waaaay too early. He's hot now but let's see what happens when the league finds the holes in his swing again. I don't believe much of what I see until June. The cubs aren't this good, the Sox aren't this bad.

He's done this before and reverted to his old self. This is glorified by dupes because it's the beginning of the year.

He's a streaky hitter, and the key will be if Ross is coherent enough to realize when he's starting a bad streak and cut back his playing time and let Madrigal and eventually Morel get some reps at 3B.

If he can defend more at his 2021 level than his 2022 level, there's no reason to go spend $$$ in free agency for a lousy Matt Chapman when Wisdom is entering his first year of arbitration this winter. Wisdom can hit 7th against RHP and 5th against LHP (flipping with Bellinger).

They should slide him over to 1st and let Morel/Madigral get reps at third if they are not going to call up Mervis. First Base is a black hole right now

Mervis should be up in a month. Either Hosmer or Rios will go away then, although Rios does have an option remaining.

I think you will see Madrigal and Wisdom splitting DH/3B against lefties going forward, even after Mervis comes up.

You can't let Hosmer and Mancini get anymore at bats. Even Gomes/Barnhart are outhitting them.

Do you want them to never sign a FA again? Nobody will sign with them on a 1- or 2-year deal if they are going to be glued to the bench after 18 games, several of which were in shitty weather.

I realize that you are obviously smarter than any MLB GM, but give this a little more thought for the longer term implications.

1. FAs will sign where the money is

2. It's early but it looks like Bellinger will get a pay day. That's a pretty good case for free agents to sign with the Cubs.

3. How many games have been in shitty weather? They have had road games and even a few games in Chicago were pretty nice. Hosmer, specifically is done

Boog calling him P-WIZZY is just awful. They should both be punched in the groin when that happens, and someone should grab Taylor's tits for good measure.

Only Pat Hughes should be allowed to call him P-WIZZY.

I had high hopes for Boog but I think it's obvious he is more suited to a national broadcast without homer enthusiasm....especially when it feels forced.
