I’m not sure how he’ll ever top the bench-mob years, either in terms of roster talent or overall success. Even then, with a ton of above average guys who fit his system, he was just positioning his team to get shit pumped by Lebron in the semis rather than the first round.

That Bulls team would have gotten at least 1 title if Rose never got hurt.

His last year with the Bulls team underachieved. They had enough talent to beat the Cleveland team that made the finals. The Minnesota Team that made the playoffs was an underachieving team also.

A number of his teams go out 4-1 4-0 all of the time too.

He's taken some shitty teams and made them instant winners. That Wolves team was definitely an example of that. Wiggins is a losing player and KAT may be the most offensively talented big man, but he has the heart of The Tin Man. He's a better version of Eddy Curry. I also think that the Bulls could have beaten the Cavs. I also thought they could have beaten those Heat teams. Disappointing, but I'm not sure I would personally call that underachieving.

Thibs gets credit from MANY for destroying Derrick Rose's career, but the kid absolutely loves Thibs. He's made guys like Taj and Butler a lot of money with his coaching. He saved Rose career and some sucker will pay for what he turned Randle into.

I think he generally maximumizes his roster. That makes him a good coach. He's proven that he's not a good enough coach to overcome the limitations of his roster for 4 games in the playoffs. That's why he isn't a great coach.

My heart tells me that they win the title the year Rose blew out his knee, but you are probably right.

Yeah I want to believe that, and I sure wish we could have seen them have the opportunity, but just not sure my head can get there.

MANY here had the Wolves to finish much higher than an 8th seed. I actually won Walt's money betting against them because I knew he'd screw it up and he did. MANY including his own announcers used to routinely question his coaching moves during games when he was with the Wolves. Now you have ex NBA players serving as analysts that routinely question his moves. Jay Williams and Jimmy Jackson but the latest in an ever increasing list.

Good coaches don't have to take shit jobs. He took the worst job in the league because no other team wanted him as their coach. Meanwhile Doc (Who the overwhelming majority here tells you is a bad coach) walked out of a debacle and into the best job on the market at the time. Days later. Including Brooklyn.

If Thibs were truly that dude he'd never have to settle for a terrible Knicks job. People are still living off of what he did 10 years ago.

When MVP Rose was getting locked down by Lebron in crunch time - and the team had no viable second option - that was kind of it for me.

I just kept hoping Kurt Thomas would make himself useful and hurt Lebron.

They were the best team in the NBA without Rose and then he returned in time for the playoffs. It's going to be one of those "what ifs" fans talk about. That being said, LeBron owned Rose. He was childlike when facing LeBron.

As a fan, I had to find a way to remain hopeful. I would tell myself that Rose was young and he would figure out how to make a basket with LeBron defending him.

Thibs singlehandedly injected new life into basketball's best city and quite possibly made the Knicks a target destination for FAs again.

Outside of KAT all his stars seem to love him.

I wonder what the narrative will be once they missed the playoffs next year. I guess it will similar to what the narrative was this year for Jimmy Butler's shitting of the bed. Crickets

Jimmy's playoff performance last year was legendary. He ran out of gas though.

He was severely outplayed by Jayson Tatum in the Boston series and got undressed by the Greek Freak in this one. Bam Adebayo Dragic and Herro had more to do with getting them to the Finals than he did.

He almost single handedly beat a far superior Lakers team purely on heart. That can't be ignored.

I absolutely hated LeBron when he was in Miami, but had to tip my cap for his Game 6 in Boston performance. I came of age watching star players will their team to victory. You don't really that anymore. It's all about the best super team.

He played well against the Lakers but he isn't the reason they got there. Other guys had far more impact and the Butler that played against the Bucks is the "Butler I know". Fake Superstar who happens to be more trouble than he is worth.

Miami's legendarily brusque superstar is leading the Heat into the playoffs as the No. 6 seed, where they'll try to stitch together a second straight improbable run to the Finals.

But it sounds like Miami's path to the postseason, which was already made bumpy by an uneven season battered by COVID-19-related absences and other health issues, has been a little rocky thanks to Butler's notorious attitude.

That's according to NBA insider Shams Charania, who on Friday dropped a little nugget about some contentious goings-on behind closed doors down in Heatland:

"I'm told there has been very, very testy moments behind the scenes between Jimmy, that coaching staff, the roster at different points."

Out of the Dark(O) (Think Tank Section) and into the light. Shouldn't this dude have better things to do with his time than this? It must be a really slow burn in Bumper Humper land if this is what this jerk had to think about all day.

Frank Coztansa wrote:
You have 376 posts in the Politics section in barely two weeks. By contrast, under The Missing Link and Liberal Lion COMBINED, you have 204 total posts about basketball. Those are your totals from both the Bulls and NBA sections.

Its pretty clear what you keep returning to discuss, and its not sports or Chicago sports media.

And for the record, don't even start about how this is me trying to censor you police the board because that would be wrong. You and anyone else can post whatever you want, whenever you want, under however many usernames you want (unless one of the Wisemen say otherwise). Just don't lie and claim you are here for reasonable discussion and for sports chatter as you have said more than once in the past. It is abundantly clear that is positively NOT not the case with you.

From usernames to counting board posts. One thing the Bumper Humper can do (when he isn't masturbating to fenders apparently) is keep track of the "happenings" of CFMB members.

I don't care what you do lioser. Troll, Stalk. Tally Usernames.Count #of postings. Take itinerary of posts in certain threads. Whatever. Do you clown.
What I have demonstrated by bouncing (and I will again trust me) is that the joint doesn't really mean all that much to me. Definitely not as much as it means to you obviously.

If they ever do decide to ban me I'm not going to kiss their ass in order to return. I'm not going to have other people lobby on my behalf. Nothing.

I voluntarily left on my own terms. I will again. Once I do your sorry, lifeless ass will continue to Troll me (as you do with the Football/basketball thread) reference me (as you do all of the time) and think about me (weird).

I'm sorry individuals here do not find the things that you post to be all that interesting. What you ran out of board outings to discuss? None of that has shit to do with me however.

And should a guy rapidly approaching 6 FIGURES (even with a batch being thrown out) in his post count spend most of his time worried about the posting habits of another man?

A section purposely hidden for the sake of not being a distraction. I guess Bumper Humper never received the memo.

It doesn't matter if its hidden or not, ltg. That isn't the point.

The crutch you have always hid behind is that you are here for reasonable discussion, and to talk sports. That isn't true. That's it. You can own up to it or continue to dance around it, but your posting and registration habits speak for themselves.

Other than you name another person that actually gives a shit as to why another person happens to post here?

Again I'm sorry people do not find you all that compelling of a posting figure Frank but that's not my fight and never has been. Have better thoughts and opinions with less bullying bullshit and maybe they will.

As stated I really won't be around that long. Since October I pop in and pop out like a blur. I find that works for me.

The floor will be yours to captivate and cultivate as you see fit. Hopefully you can attract more people here as contrary to popular belief I want to see Crest and Jorr succeed at this thing.
People need this forum. Even Chas.
