I never cared for suburban stadiums. While this particular one would be convenient for me, you cut off a large portion of your fan base when you pick a geography in this case northwest. Our transportation systems are much better designed for a downtown location. Now, Arlington does have a Metra station, but that really only helps people along that line or in the downtown area.

Plus the highway congestion would be awful. Several of the 290/90 interchanges already struggle to handle the traffic, and 53/290 and those ramps on Euclid and 14 cannot take Bears traffic.


All that being said, the current stadium is a major pain in/out. And public trans does not help much as it is such a hike from most of the stations.

MANY of the Bears season ticket holders are on the North Shore.

They wouldn't even need to get on an expressway from there to get home.

How confident are you in the person who told you it’s done?

I like the idea of Chicago teams being in Chicago, but I also understand that it is a business.

This decision screams that the Bears are going to sell and are looking to make the team more attractive so they can get a few more dollars.
