It also shouldn’t be surprising that someone in that segment of the population might better recognize any civil rights, protections, or interpretations thereof that still are inadequate, or could be perceived as inadequate.

I mean by definition the Constitution wasn’t for black people for about its first 80 or so years of existence. The next 100 years aren’t much better.

For instance they were never taught that Columbus was a slave owner.

My opinion on the flag protests changed a good amount with the violent protests from last summer. If someone wants to find a non-violent way to protest like this then go ahead. Ideally, I wouldn't want them to do it but that's also kind of the point of a protest.

She was born in 1989. I’ll have to check what protections and rights weren’t provided to her in that Jim Crow era .

Rioting is an extension of the flag protest. When the protests become the system is racist and must be destroyed it's not really a protest anymore.

Oh, so 180 years of systematic government oppression was fixed in 17 or so years? Oh, ok, sounds completely realistic.

Uh, no, if the system is discriminatory against a populous based on things like race, origin, geographic measures, etc. then yeah, the system must be destroyed and rebuilt. And yes, that very much is a protest.

Like happened in 1776. And like happened in 1860. And like happened in 1968.
