TLR said bruised, swollen hand and he could be back Monday. Sox have 9 relivers so thats probably where the roster move will be.

If Burger starts out like Sheets, I'd say let Yoan play 2nd the rest of the year. He has almost as many games there as 3rd since coming to the Sox.

Wouldn't the plan be for Burger to play 2nd with Leury and Mendick (possibly Vaughn for a game) handling 3rd?

Why would they do that? Isn't Burgers natural position 3rd?

It is but he had been playing at 2B recently.

Point is that even if Burger rakes this weekend, when Moncada is healthy he is playing 3rd for the Sox. I guess that would be a good problem to have.

Yeah it would be. I would think tho that you would want the kid playing his natural position for his first few games in the big leagues. Hard enough to adjust to it, but throw in playing a position that he is not used to and that sounds like a recipe for failure.

He's hit .162 with a sub 500 OPS since that 3-0 HR in Minnesota. Don't know if the magic ran out or if that whole situation really fucked with his head. He was a fun story while it lasted, though.
