I nearly pissed myself in the car this morning. That Big Doug segment was great. The callers who do the bits are hilarious. I'm glad to know that we, the fans, are that funny as a bunch. The songs are great and it is a perfect avenue for Doug. This is a keeper of a bit. I have to remember to listen next Friday at 9:02. They should podcast that thing separately or something. Hey maybe they could do a tie-in with dontfademe.com on the betting    . Forget I said that. They should stay a thousand miles away from the once and future career-suicidist and train wreck North.

The "Big Doug" segment on "Mully & Hanley in the Morning" is hilarious!  I don't know what I like more about it, the "voicemails" at the start of the segment, Buffone's commentary, or all the custom made drops put together by "SCORE" guy Russ Mitera...

Best segment of radio on the score by FAR.

Buffone and his stories crack me up everytime. That and the listener voicemails.

Also all the Big Doug Segments are Podcast. Here is the link:

My only wish was that they did it in the first hour so I could hear it on my way to work...but the few times I have heard it, I've nearly died laughing...

I love Big Doug and I cannot lie

Are you kidding me?
Who had Giants? Doug!
Who has a funny segment? Doug!
Who has stories that force you to lose bladder control? Doug!
Who has football? Doug!
He has NFL Thursday night football, Sunday football, Sunday night football, college football, Saturday during the day football, Monday night football.
Who has testimonials? Doug!
it's free!!!
Cinco-Cinco-Cinco Cinco-Cinco Cinco-Cinco.

The voicemails are Hysterical!
I have said this is the best segment on the Score.

This is called "PRODUCING"

Getting over the hill comedians on the phone is not. Thats is known as setting up a conference call and it is done by milions of people every single day. Some FORMER exec.producers felt this was their only and primary job.

Of course, some smartass could do a segment -- Big Doug versus the Dont Fade Me "experts". One comes with funny answering machine bits; the other plays a Dino song over and over...

Better still, get a North sound-alike to do a testimonial

It's a beautiful thing to have M&H on instead of North.
Big Doug is a great segment. Nothing's forced, every segment doesn't have to revolve around the hosts, as it did with North.
Thank god I can listen to the radio in the morning again.
I know some say M&H are boring, but I think the show is good and will only get better.

Jared, I was referring to this thread: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=23341
I think there was a couple others, too. I have read more than a handful of posters who said there is no real hook to their show.
That was my point.

I know what you were refering to, and I just don't understand...while it may not be the most exciting show, it's solid sports talk from two guys who know what they are talking about...

I agree. I don't understand it either. M&H is my favorite show.
Like I said, I am thankful I now look forward to morning sports radio. Instead of wondering when I am going to get fed up and shut it off.

Big ups to Rock for the great production job on the Buffone intro this morning. Pulled no punches, and really let Dougie have it for saying the Bears had no chance.

Also agree on the Big Doug segment. Good stuff.

Anyone have a chance to listen to it today? Couldn't get the on-line listening to work! :(

Will have to check out the Podcast.

Absolutely hilarious again. I listened online with no problem. Whole show was very good today but that Big Dous segment just breaks me up. Great way to start the weekend.

Yeah, that caller that does the Bush impression was hilarious. Also, Doug seems to love this segment and he is almost like a different person/comedian when he does this segment. It is actually really good comedy.

I can't take the credit for this.....the parody's are mainly written and produced by Russ Mitera.

He's the best in town.

Props to RM!!
