The IDEA actually isn’t bad. The story they wrapped around the idea is so poorly implemented it crossed into “razzie” territory within 20 minutes.

It seems like most time travel movies give a few lines of dialogue to explain away the inherent paradoxes in the plot. This one just kind of powered through.

Movie was ok. Not going to ruin your night but I suspect I’ll forget having watched it in a week or two.

It was an interesting concept, but it's so nonsensical that it's tough to get through. Humans have invented time travel. We were able to take on Sabertooth Tigers and other large predators with spears and rocks in pre-history. Yet we can't beat a tough biological predator with guns, jets, biological weapons, etc.

I'll let them have that because plot, crisis, etc. But our best plan is to recruit grandmas, and fat guys give them a few hours of training then send them into combat with guns meant to shoot other humans. Ignore that during World War 2 something like 10 percent of American troops fired their weapons after months of combat training. Why aren't they using big game guns?

Pratt's friend Charlie as comic relief is cringe worthy. Especially against the backdrop of the family is more important that anything trope, unless you are there to be the laughs during an alien slaughter.

It's free at least, but it's not Road House level funny on the bad scale.

I also liked the totally plausible “we aren’t going to tell you what you are up against because it is so scary, we are just going to blindly drop you from the sky into the shitstorm and you can figure it out then” strategy. You KNOW some broad thought that shit up.

The women also fucked up the drop and literally dropped MANY of them to their death. We are suppose to believe that a Miami rooftop pool was still full of water and happened to be in the drop path?

Then the survivors just climbed out of the pool like nothing happened and continued on a mission to fight an enemy they know nothing about...

I would have been like fuck this. These bitches just dropped half of us 100ft onto concrete and gave us shitty guns to fight an enemy they didnt tell us shit about.

soccer is so stupid the fans have to absolutely freak out over every goal because theres only 3 or 4 goals a game.

football and basketball are awesome because fans can be cheering the whole game. fuck europe

i almost watched it, instead watched Sum of All Fears which I apparently had never seen before. then the next night i almost watched it again but started watching old star wars cartoons on disney+....waves of nostalgia.

I imagine I'll get to it eventually when all else seems uninteresting.

I never thought of it that way, but you're right. The human spine is marvel in design and engineering incompetence. Would we be better off as a species if we had two spines side by side? Would that give us more support or would that just be more things that can break?

It is crazy how much the spine affects everything else. And the real screw up is how close that sciatic nerve is to the spine. So many problems could be avoided if that nerve didn't travel next to the spinal canal.
