Watching Mallrats on Prime. Not sure if it stands the test of time, but I enjoy the subtle and not so subtle humor of it all.

My boss told me about this one. I gave it a couple of episodes but I just didn’t get it. Certainly a couple laughs here or there but probably just doesn’t jive with my sense of humor.

Yeah, even the concept of hanging out at a mall has pretty much died out. I like seeing some of the old stores though. I may still have some J Riggins clothing at the back of my closet.

The Springhill mall wasn't exactly hopping the other day when I was in that neighborhood.

It's like watching the scene from Blues Brothers when they drive through Ford City

I've wondered, was there actually an Olds dealer inside the mall there? Seems kinda odd, but maybe it worked as the mall died out.

i might be remembering incorrectly, but i thought that mall even back then was already slated for demolition, which made it easier to convince folks to let them drive through it and wreck shit.

i know people were upset at the idea of them driving through Daley Plaza, but Mayor Byrne said something along the lines of "we can replace a window."

Yeah, it was a closed mall. I can't recall seeing a dealership ever in a mall but more and more I would see car's parked inside the mall by local dealers. I really can't recall the last time I walked around inside a mall beyond walking into one of the anchor stores and its been 5 years since I've done that probably.
