And his reliever certainly should've given up those runs but those two well hit balls by Vaughn and Goodwin just didn't find the holes in the defense.

These rookies have played mostly well but its errors like that, which isn't just their fault but stuff they will get better with more time in the league, that will eventually bite the Sox when it matters.
