my wife informed me that we are going in august. she framed it as the last time we will take an all family vacation when I objected to spending money. This, of course, depressed me because I see she might be correct even though she was probably being purposely hyperbolic to get me to spend money

Anyway, looks beautiful.

I would have answered that if any of my kids want some of my inheritance then they will be willing to go to Hawaii with my money whenever I want them to.

I'm sad for Doug.

It's a great family vacation. Was my family's favorite. Expensive but completely worth it once. I don't think I'd do it again. I'd like to do a 2-3 week trip around Italy or France. You'll have a great time.

Stop getting haircuts.

I’ve gotten 1 in the past 10 months.

So Noisy give me some advice (anybody can chip in). I have 2 interviews tomorrow. One is a normal bakery in Lagrange cookies, bars, cupcakes, muffins, scones, all of which I'm pretty sure I can produce, a few days a week 4:30 - 12:30. Drive would be okay. The second they will teach me to bake bread but it's in Hickory Hills probably 30-40 minute drive not sure of the hours. I'm more excited about that but a little nervous. They might not make me an offer but if they both did which one should I go for?

But that doesn't account for the possibility of failure. I'm terrified of failure, I pretty much can't handle it.

That has nothing to do with this opportunity tho. Take advantage of the opportunity if it is there.

RFDC is right.

For once.

You did this because you want to do it. Don’t settle for fear of failure.

If you don’t think you might fail, you aren’t pushing/challenging yourself enough. That’s the high success-zone.

Yeah. The goatee adds to that look.

I offered to get it cut but my wife said she liked it. Similar to your job search, she said you have to commit to growing it or don’t bother.

Failure is when you quit. You won't do that.

And I would go to the place where you enjoy the people you interview with, and can see yourself working with the most.

I wash my hands of shit all the time. I'm the queen of "you know what? I'm out!"

Maybe I do have to get a feel of the places. Good thought.

What would you even consider failure.

Your family isn't dependent on the salary. You are completely unshackled from concepts like failure. You get experience whether you are good or not so failure isn't in the equation.

You are learning a new aspect of a profession in which you want to work. If its your goal to have your own shop, you probably will need to know how to make breads.
