I don't think the Cubs will waste any time in moving Pederson once a market develops. He's a one year guy who they will be looking to move well before the trade deadline.

I think he will be traded to the White Sox May 31.

He will be traded by GD and Frank's combined 250th post in the Cubs section. So before mid june.

fairly typical for white sox fans. they have a team ranked in the top 5 by most experts and expected to be a contender all year; all they can do is talk about the Cubs.

I think it depends on how well he hits lefties. If he has shown he can be an everyday starter against all but the toughest lefties, I don't think he gets traded at all.

If after half a season, he has a .650 OPS against lefties, then he will be traded on July 29.

Because you don't do it very well.

For nothing but a bag of balls.

And over $4M in cost savings... Bloody good work by Hoyer to make the Braves pick up all of his salary plus his buyout.

This explains why Wisdom has gotten reps in LF. May as well play him there and Duffy at 3B - Duffy is due back soon, probably the day after Bryant is traded.

I would imagine that Tom gives a fuck.

If Hoyer is actually allowed to spend that $4M next year towards improving at SS or 2B, that would be helpful. We will see, but I'm not holding my breath.

or the hotel that has been empty for two years, or the rooftops that they bought at the top of the market,

I have no idea how their hotel is doing, but it seems an odd use of the land. If I was coming from out of town to attend a game, I’d rather stay in the Mag Mile area than Wrigleyville. It’s not like you can see the field from your room there, so what’s the point?

You don't get mugged/pissed on while on the red line heading back to your hotel?

Not as of yet, but I am much more aware of my surroundings than when I lived in Lincoln Park 20 years ago. For example, I look around before approaching and entering my car to ensure there are no “bad guys” lurking to car jack me.

Swing into the bar at Mordeci and say hello to my wife's nephew- he'll teach you more about booze than you could ever believe!
