he is terrible.

he has no ties to Chicago. Too global and too modern, cares more about people's tweets and silly sabermetric stats than giving you the name of the road ballpark.

If it werent for Pat Hughes on radio, I wouldn't o' known the name of their park. Was surprised it's still called Chase Field.

You appreciate Pat more than ever now.

No it's not.

Yes it is. When they will be back in contention by the end of the month, it will make all of you look like dumbasses.

HUGE win.

Other cities game broadcast, pre & post game, certainly are more opinionated than Cubs/Sox hands-off approach.

Other cities broadcasters feel like just REAL baseball broadcasters. They just call the game and feel like relatable down to earth hometown broadcasters.

What we have are guys that are tryin to sound hip, using words that I've never heard on any baseball broadcasts.

Fucking cant stand it. Makes me appreciate Pat Hughes more.

Fuck Boog.

I love Grace. And yea, fuck marquee for running him out.

By the way, wasn't Soria the Sox stopper at one point? Didnt even know he was still in the league. Took me a moment to remember where the fuck I heard his name before.

so I noticed 2 pitchers were real pissed off at being taken out by Lovullo.

Makes u wonder if Lovullo has lost the team.

I mean, fuck, the Cubs had 1 run the whole game, and he was taking guys out the minute they gave up a baserunner.

They would have to win about 15 in a row to get back into things. Not happening.

The Cubs should know better than anyone the value of a TV play by play guy. Half the crowd back in the day was busloads of people from Iowa coming in to see Harry. You can try to do a national TV type broadcast, but it sounds flat, local fans are emotionally invested in the team and do stupid things like spending thousands of bucks on overpriced tickets and team swag, they expect the local play by play guy who they will be investing tons of time watching to be at least interested.

We are obviously better with Jack Brickhouse at a road game at Three Rivers waxing poetically about what a great player Scot Thompson is going to be, while trying to figure out where to get a glass coffee table delivered to his hotel room.

The reason Boog's home run call was less than sharp was because the Marquee feed went out during the ball leaving the field

I downloaded the Marquee app and streamed the game on it about 10 minutes before all the technical difficulties. What a weird coincidence.

Shit game today. They are lucky Arizona is not good or Sogard would have ended up pitching the eighth.

I thought that they may trade more than Joc during the ASB. I can't imagine they will trade anybody meaningful during the Cardinals series once it starts, although with Kimbrel and Chafin getting the day off today I could see one of them dealt before the game tomorrow.

Heyward should never bat in a 9th inning potential comeback. He's a give away out in a rally. Could of hit Contreras for JH, and weak hitting Alcantara for the pitcher. At least Alcantara could possibly hit the ball hard, and take some rips.

The sooner they clean house the sooner the rebuild can begin. Hard to change the grab ass clubhouse attitude that Madden had in place with the same group of guys. Rizzo will be a great Cubs ambassador someday, can almost see him swapping stories with Wood, and Rizzo will have actually won something, so he will be infinitely more interesting than revisiting Wood's 20 strikeout game for the millionth time.

Never got the 69 Cubs thing...they could start four future hall of famers every fourth day and still never won anything, but then again there is no fandom that overvalues it's players quite like Cub fans.

Red Sox' 1B tonight fucked up his groin stretching for a throw, took himself out of the game immediately.

If everyone is lucky, Rizzo is in a Red Sox uniform by tomorrow night.

if you are going to use the nickname Boog professionally, you should be a shot and a beer sounding broadcaster

You should be more concerned with your bum slayers who are 5 games under five hundred against teams with winning records.

relax, the trade dealine is in 2 weeks.

Nobody ever gets traded until July 30 or 31.

They could win 8 or 9 games in that time and then they could buy a missing piece.
