I approve of that message...

Although, I guess I hadn't realized she was off. But yea...

She started talking about unionizing and the WWE got rid of her. I'm surprised she came back after they let go of her husband.

Not surprising considering the lengths he went to while plying his trade.

Still find the Memphis, "sissy" video with Cornette incredibly entertaining. Head Cornette say that once the camera came on Funk got an odd look in his eyes and even though they had a rough sketch of how the segment would go, nobody really knew what lengths Funk would go to in order to get heat.

watched MITB tonight. Terrible streaming issues during part of it. The main event between Reigns and Edge was good and nicely set up Rollins and Edge for Summerslam and got a Cena sighting to end the show. Looks like he and Reigns for SS as well.

Was great to see/hear actual fans in the building.

Show was solid except for Peacock sucking for a bit.

Summerfest should have:
Cena-Reigns
Goldberg-Lashley
Edge-Rollins

Meh on Goldberg. Did he make an appearance tonight that I missed?

Would rather see Brock and Lashley

Wild rumor is he's going to do a few shows for AEW starting with the NYC show in late September.

Who knows if its for real, but that could be why they're using Goldberg for Lashley.

Nothing crazy. Bucks and Omega are heels. Gallows and Anderson show up all the time.

There was a coffin match last week.

They're a nice 2 hour show on Wednesdays.

The three guys who make sense for that surprise are Brock, Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. I lean Bryan but Brock would be interesting.

I would really like to see Punk have one more run before he is done. Hard to imagine the summer of Punk was 10 years ago. But I doubt it is him, but that would be pretty cool.

So, AEW signs Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, and they have that deathmatch dope facing Jericho next week. 2 guys past their prime, and a sideshow dope that didn't have the decency to bleed out when he shoved a tube light up his ass. Someone tell me Tony Kahn isn't some coked out dipshit trying to recreate Herb Abrams and the UWF.

Bryan and Punk are the first 2 dominoes.

When the 3rd man shows up.....

I dont really see Bryan or Punk as past their prime. They are both early 40s. They have a few good years left where they could be a nice addition to a roster.

Punk hasn't worked a match in 7 years. Bryan is a bad bump away from having kujoe's spelling ability.

Punks body then has some time left in it.

Every wrestler no matter their age is a bad bump away from something really bad.

I hate Nick Gage. Garbage human being doing garbage wrestling bullshit.

They drew another 1.1 million viewers last night, though, so they obviously know what their audience wants.

I still love to listen to Cornette. I know he is a bit much these days, but I can listen to him on just about any topic.

He's amazing on history and the old stuff. Current stuff bitching gets old after a while, but he's usually entertaining.

Cornette and his co-host shit on anything made after 1989. The co-host is even more miserable than Cornette most of the time.

I tried watching AEW after listening to him bash it so much. I wanted to see if it was as bad as he said it was. While he is correct about the "gymnastics" and some other stuff, its ok and not nearly as bad as he makes it out to be.

It's generally not as bad as he makes it out to be. But I do agree with him...Fuck Kenny Omega. At least they have Don Callis as a mouhpiece for him so I don't have to listen to him lisp his way through another garbage promo.

He was perfect in NJPW, not so sure here, unless he 69s Don.

Agreed. They have bad moments, and I hate the constant random stipulation matches they have for no reason. But overall AEW is good. And they definitely know their audience.

Cornette is dead on in his criticism and he is funny as hell. I cant watch the current product either but I used to love wrestling. I go all the way ack the the Bob Luce Bruiser/Crusher days and like both all the old AWA, NWA, & WWF.

Cornette is complementary on the current stuff he likes. I agree with him on The Bucks and Omega being godawful.

The bland announcers are also killing current wrestling.

This run as Roman as a heel is really well done. Glad they are putting him in a position to succeed.
