Do those equestrian guys know how to party or what?
Quote:
Australia's Jamie Kermond was set to make his Olympic debut in Tokyo at the age of 36, but those dreams are now on ice thanks to a recent drug test.

The equestrian athlete was provisionally suspended on Wednesday after testing positive for a metabolite of cocaine, Equestrian Australia announced on Tuesday. Kermond will be barred from all competition while his second sample from a drug test administered in June is tested. If that also comes back positive, Kermond will be out of the Games.

Olympic Oysters
Quote:
Officials in Tokyo are nervously eyeing the waters at a major Olympic venue where an unwanted visitor has cost $1.28m (£930,000) in emergency repairs.

The Sea Forest Waterway in Tokyo Bay which will host the canoeing and rowing events was ready ahead of schedule.

But the one thing no-one counted on was oysters.

Massive numbers of them had attached themselves to floats intended to stop waves bouncing back across the water and on to the athletes.

The oysters were discovered when puzzled officials began investigating why the floats had started sinking.

This stuff (and when the Spice Girls performed in London) are why the Olympics aren't a total waste.

Guinea and its 5 Olympic competitors are no more for these Olympic games, they have pulled out.

Is it ironic to have pig posting about Guinea?

Hiroshi Sasaki's resignation is the latest blow.

Last year he suggested to planning staff members in online “brainstorming exchanges” that well-known entertainer Naomi Watanabe could perform in the ceremony as an “Olympig.”

Watanabe is a female fashion icon and very famous in Japan. Sasaki's “Olympig” reference was an obvious play on the word “Olympic.”

Impressive that Sasaki had enough command of the English language to make such a joke.

Germany v Brazil in soccer before the Opening ceremony? Count me in. This could be a great day.

The Opening ceremony was a farce with no one there.

They're suffering a ridiculous amount of pain there. Wouldn't wish that on anyone. Not even a Cubbie fan. J/k.

The one Mongolian lady had a wide open look at a 3 from the wing and hit the top corner of the backboard. I rewatched it 5 or 6 times.

I saw that over the weekend. Do they have to have x number of sports in order to hold the Olympics so added they crap like 3-on-3 half court basketball and skateboarding? I saw something that was being played on what looked like half of a small soccer field and they were throwing around a smaller ball.

I suppose video games in the Olympics in inevitable.

I watched some skateboarding Olympics yesterday for a bit and it was easily the most boring thing I've ever seen on television. Hearing the announcer say shit like "oh wow that was a diesel move right there" made me want to punch a baby. Some goofy bitch skated up to what looked exacy like government railing on a library stairs and slid on the railing and that was her big trick. I see kids doing more interesting stuff at the skatepark in my shitty little town. It was fucming embarrassing.

I tried three times to stomach Olympics programming. I ended up watching the entire Sox/Brewers game last night followed by that new Star Wars cartoon on Disney.

It was pretty dumb.

 Oddly enough I ran into the same issue when I got up at an ungodly hour this morning. I'd never seen a second of the newer Star Wars movies until then.

And really enjoyed the two that were on

I feel the US should be more dominant in 3x3 basketball because of the wild success of the Big 3 league. Shit, send the And1 mixtape all-stars to clown on eurotrash every time.

Because Russia was banned because of doping.

It doesn't mean anything, though, since they just rebranded.

They should have had them skate a pool and a vert ramp.
