I don't think he was all that overrated....not with Baez and Bryant on the team.

Can we re-name "the Pantheon of Overrated Cubs" award to the "Ron Santo Award"?

Yes, but the statuette for that award is a pair of rotting legs inside of a beer stein.

Dawson won an MVP and was a far superior defensive player.

RR is just jealous because Dawson didnt give his fat ass an autograph.

Have you guys built a Washington Monument-type phallus shaped in the form of a needle yet in centerfield for Paul Konerko?

I’m a baseball fan and I kind of forgot his name but Google is here.

I did a Google search for roided-up White Sox first-basemen.

From there, I was able to review and narrow it down to the guy I was thinking of. The 2nd most recent that I can tell.

Dr. Ken you forgot who gave the Chairman the final out ball? Lucky he isn't GM

I'll give him that.

That's a man with his eye to the future.

I was never a Rizzo guy.

But he always got timely hits and was a great defender.

Where does he fit in the Pantheon? The only reason he wont be at or near the top is because he wasnt here long enough. Got traded in his prime.

And whoever he'd take DLee over Rizzo, is nuts.

loved him on the expos, was my favorite cub. came to the cubs with no knees and hard to blame him for the 89' playoffs. my opinion is that even with no knees, probably the best all round cub i ever saw - tied with or a shade better than sandberg. could watch him and ellis valentine throw out runners from 250-275 feet, all day.

imagine dawson playing on natural grass all his career. what a player.

If he feels fine, he should be playing.

At least Bob stuck to his convictions and didn't get the vaccine like he said all winter. Oh wait... :D

Regardless of how he feels, he’s out at least 10 days. Thats the MLB rule.

D Lee was one of the best Cubs when it came to putting up stats in garbage time.

 Rizzo bats ten points lower than Konerko did for his career and we haven't even seen the worst of his decline yet. And even if he plays another five years in favorable Yankee Stadium he's never gonna hit 400 homers. Konerko hit 439. It's a ridiculous comparison. They're not even close.
