All this does is piss me off more that Wrigley had Bill Madlock traded because he thought that Madlock was uppity.

That is the trade which has pissed me off the most in the last 50 years in which I remember trades.

That trade made me despise the Cubs. Madlock was one of my favorite players. I couldn't have been happier when the We Are Family team won in my 79.

He's in Les' top 20 all-time greatest Cubs (including pitchers) as of a couple years ago. I wish I would have recorded it. I'm sure he'd deny saying it

i think it was no secret that wrigley/holland/saltwell didn't want to pay north/madlock/thorton. there was a common denominator amongst those players.

He's useless, worst contract in chicago sports history, iveseen people say he hasn't been right since getting beaten in the jaw.. that's nonsense, his best year was 2 years after he got beaned..he just sucks

JH ops+ this year 62. The "Big Donkey" in epically bad year 2011 was 54.
