I don’t think it’s for everybody. But I find this kind of stuff interesting.

Looking into a creative mind.

McCartney sits with Rick Rubin and he explains the origins of many songs and how they were developed.

I know there are a lot musicians here. I’d be curious what you all might think of it.

Give me the genesis of this boy band crap

Oh yeah, I'll tell you somethin'
I think you'll understand
When I say that somethin'
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
I want to hold your hand
Oh please, say to me
You'll let me be your man
And please, say to me
You'll let me hold your hand
You'll let me hold your hand
I want to hold your hand

It’s more about the arrangements.

They incorporated a lot of different types of instruments and genres. It’s interesting to hear that genesis.

I actually just watched it this morning. It was interesting to hear all the ways George Martin helped them.

Rick Rubin looks like a homeless person.

He has hair growing out of every portion of his face except the crown of his head which is completely bald.

His beard grows from his cheeks.

I've watched a few episodes and it has certainly been interesting. Every episode has a nugget or story I hadn't heard before
which is nice since everyone has already done the Beatles story 100 different ways.

I wasn't going to watch, because Paul can be so self-absorbed, and John and George aren't around to either disagree with him or put him in his place.

But if Dr. Ken recommends, I'll catch it. Beatles were my first music love...

If anyone still thinks Paul is cool, I present to you Hope for the Future to change your mind.

Cool evolution of the bass lines for The Beatles...

THIS.
I appreciate the Beatles and Paul McCartney and their place in history, but I'm not really a fan of Paul. This type of analysis, though, would be interesting.

I thought it was funny when Clapton played on Guitar Gently Weeps that Rubin asked Paul "So, was it like Eric Clapton is here or was it more like George's friend?"

Paul - "Oh, it was George's friend."

There aren’t nearly enough musical superlatives for Paul, which makes the horse abortion of “Wonderful Christmastime” even more puzzling.
