Take the job that will be more fun and does not require you to wear a mask.

I wasn't allowed to not be good at something growing up, if you aren't good at something and if it's not damn near perfect that's failure. Experience wasn't a thing in my house.

I'm taking an online class and I made a coffee cake the other day. My husband and I had a discussion about it and he made a comment about it not being perfect enough. I said I don't always have to be perfect, there are tons of people in class that are better than me. He said bullshit you have to be the best, be friends with the best, or have a good amount of respect for the best, if not you always try to beat the best. I'm rarely the best at something but I strive to be near the top, it's a compulsion. If I'm not I see it as complete failure and a reflection of me and I can't get over it.

I was flipping channels and saw that on AMC. Luckily I saw it followed part II and made the corrrct guess. Yeah, I’ve heard the directors cut makes it better but I’m not investing the time to find out.

I'll give it 15 or 30 seconds. I saw that disappointment at the show waybackwhen.

I'm halfway through it and will try to finish it this week. It isn't good and Andy Garcia is really bad but I would like to see how it ends up. I caught the last hour of part 2 and recorded this last part to watch later.

Sorry to hear that. I do not think I have ever heard someone call a family member influential…..I mean there are patriarch’s and such, but time stops for no one.

Thanks. More so meaning one of the more consequential members of my extended family (for me). But yes, it happens to us all.

Thanks guys. This is one of those situations where a person suffering is better off, but just kind of blows while you work through the immediate aftermath.

All good, thanks everybody. I’m typically a borderline sociopath bout these things but I’ve had enough cokes to make that post. I need LTG or somebody to call out James K Polk to get my posting persona back on track after this brief detour.

We have about 10 bottles. We will never run out of bourbon. Or coors light, it's our house lite beer.

I literally drank everything else. :alien: Bourbon is only for my husband, sad times, or old fashioneds and I only have 2 of those at a time. I almost always refuse it, there is something about bourbon that is too much. I drink scotch when I don't want to drink because who wants to drink scotch?

I have a friend that we stock each other's booze according to mood. I showed up at her doorstep about a month ago and she looked at me and said you don't look like tequila or champagne. Do you need wine? No... Do you need vodka or gin? No...Do you need bourbon? No...She says oh shit...do you want water?

You obviously don't have to answer if you don't want but what made them influential?

Prob not the greatest word choice there…more meant impactful on me. Some extended family you see once a year and chit chat for a few minutes. Others you speak to regularly, see often, etc. This was the latter.
