What will they get in free agency?

We know Rizzo turned down 5 for 70. Thankfully he declined.

Did we ever get numbers for Bryant and Baez?

No way Rizzo gets 4 at 14. With his age and declining skills I'm betting on 3 at 12 at best.

I don't think Bryant is going to break the bank. I think teams will look at the Harper deal and think twice. Maybe there is another team like the Phillies, perhaps the Pirates offer him something crazy. People seem to think that organization is actually going to try.

I think the more interesting discussion is the difference between what the cub offered and what the market will bear. Hoyer sounded confident the cub offer will prove to be no worse than market rate. I think he is probably correct.

I think this will be another depressed year for FA contracts.

All 3 of them get no interest from any team and have to retire.

I imagine Baez will have it worst, as the market is flush with talented SS.

It won't help that he is going to lead the league in K and be on a two year trend of bad.

Philly doesn't regret the Harper deal, he drove in 114 his first year there, he puts fans in the seats. His obp is always high and he's hitting. 305 this year.

Cubs resign Baez or Bryant for $100+ million.

Someone will overpay for Bryant. I think the Cubs dodged a really bad contract there.
Baez is a perfect disaster to fit in with the Mets. I could totally see the Mets signing him and it being a really stupid contract.

Rizzo (IMO) is the most likely player the Cubs would sign as a FA and bring back. I think one of them returns and Rizzo's age would make it the shortest term.

Bryant’s “ rebound “ year has resulted in him hitting .263 with 19 HR and he’s the best out of the 3. What the fuck do these guys think they’re going to get ?

The problem is... baseball. Who knows what some team will overpay.
