Phil and Cheryl are very, very excited.

They cannot talk faster if they tried.

I'll calm Cheryl down... :D

The touchdown in Burlington had me worried as initially movement was more to the southwest, which would've pushed it towards Casa De CDOM in Elgin/South Elgin. But it looks more easterly movement now on radar, so anyone in downtown Elgin, might want to keep an eye open.

I think it is hilarious that they keep talking about the Paw Paw area.

Paw Paw is about the size of 2 decent-sized farms put together.

They do have a 9-hole course. I don't recommend it.

SlapShotEd has seen at least two, possibly as many as four tornadoes. Pics on his FB.

I always am telling the wife that she's driving herself nuts with all the neighborhood and weather alert apps that she has on her phone. I understand it, but I don't need the eternal updates and warnings.

Does he get paid to be a storm chaser, or does he do it for fun? I've always wanted to ask him.

Yeah, I forgot to turn off the notifications after finishing my run after the first wave rolled through.

Was driving home from my last call in Highland Park, hit the worst of the late downpour around Austin's. After passing by there the sky brightened up but looking toward the south southeast from the lake county fairgrounds I thought I saw some rotation in the clouds I had just driven thru.

Fun. I was going to message him and hit the road with him, but he left about a half hour before I got home.

Some of these radar returns are pretty intense with these storms. The tornadoes are so strong The Radars actually picking up debris being thrown into the air.

They were either right behind or right in front of SlapShot for one of them.

They were making everybody shelter in the stock room/hallway or something I wasn't really paying attention or leave because of the storm warning. No rain or anything here yet.

My ancestors settled Paw Paw, like first group of people there. They didn't stick around. I never knew this until we moved out here and my wife did some genealogy crap. MY visit to Paw Paw was breath taking.

Pretty much every drop of rain and gust if wind has split this farm area today about 6 miles to the north or 12 to the south. Have had tornado warning and such (Headed towards Mendota Doc, hopefully the golf course there will be safe) but nothing within 15 miles of here. Rain would of been nice, glad we didn't get storms.

I've been texting my brother in Mendota all afternoon as we watch Cheryl.

Nothing happened there.

Sirens went off in Villa Park a while ago. Ended up grabbing my wife's lacroix thinking it was my beer. Truly awful stuff.

My wife is complaining because we don't get ABC7 over the air with consistency, which disrupts her Bachelor viewing. And tonight it is coming in clearly, but the weather is over-ruling the show. I am watching Cheryl in red, so not a problem.

I hope the Lake takes some os the energy out of the storms.
