Mully said the same thing about Ricketts getting approval to build a sportsbook next to Wrigley. Why build a brick and mortar place when most people just use their phone app?

The problem I have always had with going to the window:

1) Crazy lines during busy weekends like football season,
2) Limited hours of operation,
3) Trying to place your bets correctly just like when you go to a horse racing window. The clerk is kind of staring at you as you sputter out exactly what you want.
4) Getting bets in on time. If I am in the pool or eating at a sit down restaurant, running to the window is not an easy option,
5) Going back to collect your winners at the place where you made them.

The bet MGM app only works in Vegas (as far as I know), but it has been a good option in the summer when I sit at the pool most of the day.

It was close...but we wanted a little cash back. our PMI is less than a weeks worth of gas, so not really a bad thing for a half a year or so.

Hopefully Hochberg set it up so that the PMI drops off automatically when your equity reaches 20%....vs having to formally request and do another appraisal.

They have machines that take wagers at the pool. It was nice having the Cubs and Sox on the big screen. It was not as crowded as one would expect. I bet the mask mandate has people cancelling trips. It is very annoying at the tables. Hard to communicate especially when casinos are already loud.

it's sad.

The area looks so nice with that dumb Jack Daniels outdoor restaurant gone. Looks so nice and wide open the way it did before.

And now he wants to go fuck it up again with some betting bullshit.

Fuck Ricketts.

It might also have something to do with the heat as well.

I once attended an outdoor wedding there in July and the heat was unbearable. Luckily they were on a strict 30 minute time clock because they knew people wanted to get the hell out of there as fast as possible.

It was absolutely packed on Saturday. It became the shit show I expected in the 108 degree heat. The security (entire staff really) are great. There were of course idiots drinking way too much way too fast in the heat. Not sure which person/group was my favorite.

It started with a young hispanic chick who was doing shots at 9:00 AM dancing crazy to every song by 11:00 and carried out at noon. The look on her boyfriend’s face screamed, “not again”.

It got better from there. A group of four, a husband and wife, and then two younger ladies which were presumably were paid to get kinky with the couple. The paid help was having a great time with a huge daybed and spread. The husband was having a great time with the paid help as his wife looked on. Well that is until 10 security guards came to their feast. Apparently, ecstasy is not allowed at the pool.

Moving on was the most controversial of the events. On the heels of the ecstasy bust, security moved into one corner of the pool. They lifted a south asian looking dude right out of the pool. When they put him on his feet, he looked like a staggered boxer. They brought a wheelchair to roll him out to the loud cheers of the crowd. His companion refused to leave. The lady attempted to play dead on a lounge chair. After 15 minutes of pleading with her, security lifted her out. The crowd went wild.

And the final insult came about an hour thereafter near 3:00. We knew trouble was brewing when the wheelchair appeared near a group of young ladies. A chick was heaving into a bag on her day bed. After she completed the evacuation, she was put into the wheelchair and taken off premises.

I made a profit on my sports book bets, so it was a good pool day all around.

Yeah Circa is slick. I was there in May. The Pool Party Sportsbar thing they have going on is definitely a different look. Will probably check the Bears/Raiders game out in that spot in October.

It’s our first time in over 20 years of staying off strip. The group agrees this place is great. The rooms are nice. It is easy to get around. The restaurants are solid. And the pool and indoor sports books are fantastic. The help is the best we have seen.

We enjoyed the Freemont experience as a change of pace. Once Mirage took out its poker room, that was it for us. Now Circa does not have a poker room, so the guys have been playing at the Golden Nugget. I ventured out last night and rolled craps for about six hours at Binion’s.

The pool sports book is supposed to be 365. That would be a thing for NFL weekends.

I had a colonoscopy the Friday before last. The Dr. said there were no polyps, nothing else to be concerned about, and I don't have to have another one for 10 years.

Several people had said the prep is worse than the exam itself, and they were correct. I had to drink a gallon of prep. My exam was scheduled for 8:00 AM on Friday, and on Thursday I had to have half of the prep between 4 PM and 6 PM and the other half between midnight and 2 AM. You drink an 8 oz. glass every 15 to 20 minutes until each half is gone. Towards the end of the first half I had to start rinsing my mouth out between glasses to get the taste out of my mouth as I was worried I was going to throw up. It got a little tough towards the end of each half gallon.

When the nurse was putting in my IV before the procedure, the anesthesiologist came in. The first thing she said was "There are two things I like about you already. You have great veins, and I like your glasses." The glasses are new. The veins I've had for a while.

After the exam when they were wheeling me back to recovery, she (the anesthesiologist) asked what sort of exercise I do. I told her, and she said "The reason I ask is because you have the heart of an athlete." I guess she noticed that as she was monitoring my vitals during the procedure. I didn't have any reason to think there were any issues with my heart, but it's good to know my ticker is in good shape, too.

I'm hoping they will have improved the prep by 2031.

After a week I am coming to a rapport with my wife's bike. Today I heard a guy behind me on the Channel Trail and I decided I was going to try not to let him get past me. I was pretty relaxed because I figured I wouldn't be able to stop him riding this thing. I started hard riding and I thought I had completely lost the guy. After about two miles I got stopped at the light at Church Street. Suddenly this black kid, late twenties/early thirties rolls up next to me on a custom carbon frame bike. The guy looks like Major Taylor but he's huffing and puffing. He looks over and says, "I couldn't catch you. I was trying as hard as I could. You're damn fast."

I'm sure he couldn't believe the piece of shit I was riding. Almost 18 miles an hour on this fucking thing. It has to be seen to be believed.

Glad to hear, Tad.

My advice to the elderly out there that need to do this. Get a straw and slam 8oz every 10 minutes.

Make sure it is cold and down it.

When I had mine the nurse said to me, "If you want to be a billionaire all you have to do is come up with a product that is more pleasant to drink for colonoscopy prep than this stuff."

I got the lemonade one or lemon-lime.

It wasn't that bad. If you slam it through a straw you really don't taste anything.

I have one in a month. I requested it at 45 after my brother and dad had issues. Since they are both dead I figured I should have them look. I’m seriously worried

You'll be fine.

I had the low-volume prep product for my first one- only like a half gallon total, maybe even less. I have another in September, since they removed a dozen polyps or something like that three years ago.

Unlike the Good Dr., most people who know me would have said I was a rotten asshole
