Good news, guys. Our QB can throw a nice pass when he knows not one single defensive player is coming after him. LOL

Hoping he’s there to take Nagys job, he’s actually a good coach.

Because the O-line is presently so shorthanded due to injury why not use the two guys in the bleachers as fill-ins?

For as good as (Pro Bowl QB) Trubisky was, Fields may be better.

Nagy is too unpredictable to bet on. Nothing would surprise me with his mismanagement of the QB position. It's hilarious he got hired on the premise of that being his strength.

I'd be happy if Fields holds a clipboard for the first few games. I think there is some value in it.

He starts week 4.
BUT...FF does have a point. Nagy could very well fuck this up and hold Fields until week 12

Just going to enjoy all his untapped, unrealized potential for as long as possible.

I am still convinced that Nagy is an idiot...and a major source of the Bears' problems.

It'll be Herculean for Fields to overcome the odds stacked against him.

I don't think Nagy is going to necessarily want to put him in all that enthusiastically. If he does, it means Dalton is sucking, which means the Bears are probably sucking. Putting Fields in will come off as a desperation-type move.

If the offensive line is a wreck let Dalton take the punishment.

Hopefully Dalton sucks in the preseason.

I think Nagy wants to start Fields Week 1. His desire to allow Fields to play most of the game and into the 4th quarter tells me that. He's giving Fields the opportunity to "force his hand". He understands that a statue and a bad offensive line is a recipe for disaster.

Dalton will lead the Bears to a 3-0 preseason with the number one ranked offense.

Yeah it appears he is giving him the chance to take the job from Dalton. Hopefully he does.

One of the more interesting thoughts being repeated by "Bears media" is that this is the best the QB position has looked at any time during Nagy's tenure. If you think about that for a minute, he traded to get Foles who is so bad that even QB challenged teams have no interest in trading for him, and he stuck with Mitch despite Mitch sucking so bad that he was only able to get a backup level contract, those were the guys they handpicked to go into last year.

This group cannot identify QB talent and has shown no ability to develop QB's.

That said, they may have lucked into something with Fields..just hope they do not screw him up or get him killed by trotting out a subpar O line.
