From what little I know of the book publishing industry from hearing Carolla speak on it, the fact that she is coming up with a proposal for a second instead of heading straight into writing another one is the tell. It's like an actor that books an ostensibly high profile gig, but still has to audition for their next role, her success as a Published Author is only good enough to get her a "we'll take a look at what you have" response instead of "here's another advance, send whatever you got".

Just looked on Amazon and there are 97 reviews, that shocked me. Outside of 3 reviews (one each 2,3&4 star) they are all either 1 star or 5 star. Looks like there a lot of phony 5 star reviews like when movie studios try to bombard Rotten Tomatoes with 5 star reviews.

I am also guessing a lot of the one star reviews are from people who hate Julie and didnt read the book.

My guess is there are probably only 10-20 legit reviews on there.

Also why does she say she has to write up a whole new proposal for a book? I thought we were up next?

There is no such remedy called a "restraining order" in the State of Illinois. There is something called an Order of Protection, but that is only for household members. There is also a stalking no contact order, but I doubt he is stalking her. But maybe she practiced in different courts???
