its sad to see Professor smacked around like that.

dude was 9 games over .500 on a bad team before today.

Hard to believe that with one bad outing, he now has a 4.15 ERA even though he is 13-5.

after this debacle, it's hard to believe we are still 10 games ahead of the Pirates.

27-4 over two games. That has to be close to a record.

Nah, the Orioles lost a single game 30-3 about 15-20 years ago.

No, but the Cub did set a record yesterday. 1st time ever to lose an entire home stand of more than 7 games.

...and they (Cubs) just experienced their first winless homestand of at least seven games since 1943.

Doesnt add up. How can a club with so many mediocre to outright bad teams never have done this back to 1943.

Because even bad teams usually win 60 games a year. You play an entire season with this current Cubs roster and you're losing 120 games easily. I said at the time the trade was made the Cubs may not win 20 games the rest of the season. I was only half serious when I said that, but now its looking like there's a chance thats not far off. They were 51-55 at the deadline. They're 52-65 now

The Theo tank was pretty ugly also. You'd think they'd lose a seven plus homestead during that ugly stretch.

They are 12-38 since mid-June. Even the worst of the Theo teams won games at better than a .315 clip.

2005 White Sox lost 7 (not all home) in a row in August. +46 over 500 whole season.
