On Thursday's interview with Happ, Bernstein and Rahimi were fawning over Heyward's body again, and then DB said Louis Robert's body is "just absolutely dreamy to look at."

He's like a muscle bound boxer who can't punch.

MIAMI -- The Chicago Cubs today activated outfielder Jason Heyward off the 10-day injured list and optioned outfielder Greg Deichmann to Triple-A Iowa.

GD's bigs chance getting screwd for this bum.

Went back and listened. Questions answered about Bernstein.

As if the on-field product weren't bad enough, we get Zaidman and Levine on the radio broadcast today.

They did yesterday's game also. Not good. Zaidman is way too screamy and I'm not sure what Bruce is even doing there.

zz just told us that ian happ is wearing powder blue shoes.

pat and the coom-dog were reminiscing about arrieta's good cub days the other day as the brewers smacked hendricks around.

"former all-star ron coomer, i remember jake striking out chase utley with a wicked slider that started at utley's thigh and ended up at his ankles to secure his no-hitter".

we're getting and will get more of this for the next year.

ZZ- Dont mind his pbp. Way too loud and hysterical on the rare good occurrence
Levine- Seems lost what to say, or doesnt want to step on ZZs toes.
Coomer- Really like him. Pushes the envelope as far as he can without getting in trouble with bosses. Good on M & H. You've got to read in between the lines when he critiques the players. Good listen on George Ofman podcast. He didnt get a MLB channce 'til he was 28. Nothing was handed to him.

Why are you guys still watching the Cubs? Is it just because you like baseball? Watching the Cubs is familiar and comfortable? Is it funbad? Which players might actually be on their next contending team that you are watching?

I remember a couple years ago when I still had cable and watched every Hawks game. The team lost Crawford and they were awful but I kept watching because that is what I had done for nearly a decade. When I got to the playoffs and started watching good teams I realized how much time I wasted watching bad hockey. I said I would never do that again and I haven't. Granted, baseball doesn't have the intensity and pace of hockey so it's not a completely apt comparison but there's still gotta be a better baseball game to watch than the Cubs. Hell, watch the Sox.

I turned it on in the 6th today to see Mills promptly give up an upper deck HR to Chisholm. If this team was at .500 there's no way Ross lets Mills pitch a third time through the order, but with a bullpen full of shit he's going to let Mills go to 85 pitches and get some experience seeing guys a third time.

Dempster is surprisingly not bad with Pat. I could accept him splitting the radio time with Coomer.

nice!

Dont be so coy.

Tell us how much youve won the last couple weeks betting this.

Or at least how many such bets you've won.

good to see Joe West umpiring and callin' balls & strikes yesterday.

Also, where was JD and Coomer? what is it with all these days off?

Dont really care for Dempster. But more tolerable than JD.

Putting Sutcliffe with Hughes on TV would be perfect. Pat is great on TV. He's just as natural at it as on radio, and knows how to adjust his PBP going from one to the other.

Interesting, I'll have to listen to Coomer a lil closer. I've never felt like he was trashing anybody.

Levine is TERRIBLE. How the hell do u have a beat writer as an analyst? I hate that fucking piece o' political woke garbage.

Agreed on ZZ. He actually has that homer-ish cartoonish enthusiasm that I like. What I cant stand, is when Pat makes some kind of joke (or even when he doesn't) and he's giggling in the background.
