He's a different pitcher. We used to joke about "Coop can fix him" but it seems like it's real to say "Katz can fix him." He literally fixed Giolito and Rodon, 2 guys most had written off.

Watch his motion since coming up, it's different from what he used to throw.

Yeah you cant really base where it was on the blood. I cut my forehead open as a kid and that thing was bleeding all over the place. There are a lot of blood vessels and they are close to the skin.

I still wouldn't trust him long term in the rotation, but as a spot starter/long reliever he seems like he's figured it out.

Exactly. Being a "bullpen day" starter or a playoff long relief guy is perfect for him right now.

And maybe he really is fixed and you can start to rely on him more.

That'd be a pretty nice surprise.

I think its a pretty sure thing that he has developed into something useful at the major league level. Which is nice, because this time last year it was looking like time to stick a fork in him.
