It's certainly a real stat when you look at Hendricks' career of 200 starts, and note that he wins games at a 61% clip.

No thanks. Chi chi Gonzalez and his era over 6 going for the Rockies.

How fucking sad are the Rockies to be +145 with Arrieta going for the Padres? I wanna bet the house on Colorado but with my luck Jake would rediscover his mojo.

Arrietta is a good pitcher, on a good team.

He was dogged down here by the stupidity of Hoyer and the media.

He is amazingly leading MLB in wins this year.

It's sad that due to one bad outing his ERA is over 4.00.

Dude hopefully will win 18 games and even has an outside chance at 20.

Yesterday was the Ian Happ game.

3-4 with a HR that ended up being the difference.

Baseball with breakfast today, as Harry Caray would say.

Happ with another HR.

Rough series for the reds. They were making a move on that 2nd wild card now looks like they might lose 2 of 3 to the Flubs

Schwing-del extending his extra-base streak.

I thought the Rockies were a no-brainer until I saw Chi Chi Gonzalez pitch. They might've lost had they not gone to their bullpen as soon as they did (4th inning). Thanks Bud Black for the win!

same thing that happens to a lot of good pitchers in Denver.

That is the last place you want to make ur first start and make a good first impression. They put him in a bad spot.

Realistically the Cubs will pick somewhere between 5 and 10 next draft. There's no way they'll catch Pittsburgh at 4. Unfortunately they play 2 bad teams before the White Sox. Then, 2 more bad teams.

I dont understand why Ross didnt let Sampson go 5 IP on Wed. to get the win.

He was pitching fine. Why take him out after 4IP and then glow about how he had a good start?

You literally robbed him of a win. This shit matters in a young pitcher's career.

3 days later, the poor guy is pitching out of the bullpen in a mop-up game. WTF?
