With just 3 more home games before the last road trip, the Sox NEED to win this series. With a 4 game series against the Yankees and then the crucial 3 game series against the Twins following, this series is critical. If the Sox go into Minnesota with their present 1 game lead, it's gonna be tense, as the Twins are such a tough team to beat there. In the Tigers series, it's gonna be Verlander against Danks, then Kenny Rogers facing Vasquez and finally Zach Miner against Lance Broadway, who will start rather than Richard in the wrap-up. It's gonna be interesting to see how the Sox fans pack the house (or not) for this crucial series. After this concludes, it's 10 games on the road, before the Sox return for the final 3 games at home. So just 6 home games remain, with 10 on the road-although 3 ARE against the Royals.
