His struggles seemed somewhat predictable. This is not the type of course where distance is more beneficial than accuracy.

His playing partners, who would be 30-50 yards behind him if they all found the fairway, beat him by 7 and 6 shots. Drive for show and putt for dough doesn't just apply to us weekend warriors.

According to Bryson, it would be fine as long as it went straight even when you miss hit it.

He should try using the clubs Kim Jong-Il used when he shot a 39 or whatever it was on 18 holes.

I got down to 8.5 degrees at one time with an extra stiff shaft (that's right) because I have a tendency to loft it.

I got away with that when I played a lot but there's no way I could hit that club now. Even then that thing felt like it was 0 degrees and the ball would slide if you even mishit it a little.

You were the inspiration for Buckaroo Bonzai, weren't you. They had to tone it down in the film because we can't handle the truth!

I've got the replay playing on Peacock and Faldo is just losing his shit every time Bryson had to hit a wedge through two feet of fescue because he wouldn't hit 4 iron off the tee into the fairway.

It is glorious.

He really is a very unlikeable guy. (Bryson, not Faldo. Although Faldo's dye job is ridiculous.)

He and Cantlay were battling it out and I think he told Cantlay to "stop walking" or something. I didn't really get it.

I assume he meant stop trying.

Cantlay then drained 3 sudden-death putts to keep going and Bryson missed a couple pretty easy ones to win it all.

They are on the 3rd sudden death hole as of 5:45pm.

Bryson also got booed by MANY in the gallery after missing his 6 footer on the second playoff hole, when he turned immediately and started giving his caddy the business.

Also gotta throw a DB nomination out to the NBC broadcast, who have kept David Feherty pigeonholed on the 17th hole for the entirety of the playoff. Arguably the best color guy on the entire broadcast team has to wait for the playoff to come to the 17th hole to give commentary.

On 14, Bryson told him to stop moving while he was putting.

6th playoff hole.

I gotta get to Home Depot to fix a copper pipe leak in my basement. They need to end this.

I mean know it’s Bryson but if Cantlay were moving in his periphery , what’s wrong with asking him to stop ?

Yeah there's a TON of projection going on, for whatever reason he didn't like Bryson calling out Cantlay.

I don't know. I didn't see it.

Sounded like Catlay was just shifting his weight or something. Just going off what I heard.

Calling him out like that. It happens and most of the time its inadvertent. You just step off and focus and reread the putt. Then as you're walking to the next hole you say something.

Cantlay is my new favorite player since his putter kept my basement from flooding.

He was clutch. He deserved to win that.
